Trading an Islamic theocracy for a Christian one is like having to choose between being shot in the left knee, or the right.
"Keep us alive?"
You clearly don't know your history. Tell me, O Great and Beneficent Christian Master, will we poor unfortunate LGBTQs be permitted to live in our own homes? With our loved ones? Or will we be in institutions, as we were in the past, when people like you decided we were broken and sick? Or maybe there will be an island, or a nature preserve, hm? Will we be able to vote? Ooh, that might be dangerous, we could vote to have rights and be treated like actual people, and that would make your imaginary magical carpenter mad, wouldn't it?
I ask that, since you'll be decided if we can have families (we can't, apparently) or play in the sports of our choosing (nope, but hey, we can still be interior decorators, right?)
"Choose us, and we'll keep you as pets and curiosities until we 'cure' you of the thing that makes you different from us" isn't the sales pitch you think it is. Is it awful that hardline Islam takes such a final and extreme stance on LGBTQ issues? Yep. Is it disingenuous of Christians to pretend that they're the better option? Fuck me gently, yes. You're not the better option, you're the same option, just with bacon and beer.
