What if there aren't enough jobs to go around?
What if a person loses their job and home all at once?
It's much harder for homeless people to get jobs because they have no fixed address.
People don't choose to become homeless or end up on benefits.
And fun fact: In the UK, some people earn so little from work they are forced to rely on benefits (namely on the ghastly Universal Credit) just so they can eat. (And then they are told to look for second and even third jobs- thanks zero-contract hours)

The last time I checked, autism does not kill people. Unless DJS refers to suicide, which is high among autistic people.
