I have heard about things kinda like this, for some reason it’s a thing I’m extremely fascinated by, weird emergency broadcast alerts or TV broadcast hijackings that inevitably turn out to be hoaxes or false alarms. Like the 2018 Hawaii false missile alert, where there was literally an EAS message that warned Hawaiians of an incoming ballistic missile attack. Or to go back a little ways, there was the Southern Television Broadcast Interruption in England in 1977, which claimed to be from aliens representing the “Ashtar Galactic Command”.
