Last week, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) added the Family Research Council (FRC) to its list of “hate groups” for adamantly opposing the radical homosexual rights agenda. As you may know, I ran FRC from 1989 until I jumped into the 2000 Republican presidential primary.

While I was there, FRC opposed same-sex “marriage,” opposed Bill Clinton’s attempt to end the military’s ban on open homosexuality and we published papers warning about the promotion of the radical homosexual agenda in the public schools. Those issues were well worth public debate then and they are today.

Nothing has changed at FRC since Tony Perkins took over. It was not a “hate group” when I ran it and it is not a “hate group” today. What has changed in recent years is the aggressiveness of the “tyrants of tolerance.”

The Left has been on a cultural jihad to label traditional conservative values as “hate” and beyond the pale of public discourse. Those who demand tolerance for every imaginable “lifestyle” are incredibly intolerant of conservative views, and they seek to silence us all. They would shut down any defense of traditional marriage and the sanctity of life as “hate speech.”

At least four gay Ugandans have been attacked since a publication printed personal information of the country's "top" homosexuals earlier this month, the Associated Press reports.

Family Research Council president Tony Perkins recognized National Coming Out Day by blaming recent youth suicides on the gay community in an online column for The Washington Post.

Members of a local student-oriented Catholic parish received an e-mail last week urging them to boycott the New York Pizza Depot on East William Street because of a gay pride rainbow sicker on its front door.

The sticker has upset some people, including Andrew Shirvell, an NYPD customer and member of St. Mary’s Student Parish, located down the street from NYPD.

Shirvell, a University alumnus and former president of Students for Life, said the sticker is offensive because it endorses homosexuality instead of simply tolerating it.

“I find the rainbow flag offensive because it is a symbol of the homosexual movement that, in my opinion, indicates a validation of the homosexual lifestyle, as opposed to a sign that indicates ‘openness’ to customers who are of the homosexual orientation,” he said.

I have used a similar argument when discussing how homosexuals are actually safer under strict Christian rules then if they were left to the rules or beliefs of Darwinistic athiests.

While Christians will declare that homosexuality is a sin and will work to keep it from becoming mainstream or acceptable as marriage, the opposite of that has a very ugly past. Christians are not called on to eliminate or kill people because they are homosexuals. However, while atheists will not view or see homosexuality as a sin or evil, they will and do eventually see homosexuals as a weaker “species” and that does lead to the “elimination” option.

Whether or not Darwin himself proclaimed specifically “survival of the fittest”, his dogma/doctrine/teachings lead to that way of thinking. If something is not making your species stronger or better then it can and should be eliminated. While most atheists are probably not for forced elimination, their dogma of life without a final judgement with God makes that option quite open.

It only takes a few powerful atheists in the right spots to force their “elimination” effort (if all Christians are neutralized or removed from the scene).

It’s easy to find some perfectly “logical” reason why all of human history and moral code development is wrong and your chosen vice is just the thing for you.

I worked at Warner Bros. for 2 years, and we all know that industry is a magnet for homos.

I can tell you the following..

1) Homosexuals spend an inordinate amount of their time attempting to “recruit” others to their lifestyle, and I am certain that includes underage kids.

2) Homosexuals do not think about everyday things like the rest of us do, and they usually are colored in some way through the prism of homosexuality.

3) Most of them are leftists, and have no use for religion, morals or ehics. Their idea of a fun society is more conducive to Sodom & Gommorah than Judeo-Christian America.

4) Most of them tend to be very aggressive if they set their eyes on a target. I ran into one at WB who I had to punch in the face, after repeated warnings from me to knock off the talk.

If homos are allowed an equal footing with the other 98% of us, I can guarantee you our society will crumble. My 2 cents.

The rest of "V for Vendetta" not only depicts Christians as evil people who oppress and torture "innocent" people, it also depicts homosexuals as a persecuted, harmless minority of "nice" people. Both of these portrayals are hate-filled, false stereotypes, but the second one is actually contradicted by the secret stash of homoerotic pornography that one of the homosexual characters in the movie hides in a secret room in his house. I've been roaming around the 'net' reading the myriad of comments made from both sides of the aisle and pulpit. What amazes me is that no one seems to be addressing the effect on the children. It's a glaring ommission.

Homosexuality and all it's incarnations will now be taught as 'normal' in school irregardless of the child's or the child's family's religous beliefs. The children of America have lost their freedom to practice Christianity out loud or in private as any and all comments, beliefs, et.al. refuting the homosexual lifestyle will be seen as hate speech. All the fun that comes with these beliefs will soon follow. Being made an example of comes to mind.

So adorable little Sally, who's all of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade will be bombarded with text books showing Johnny's two mommies or daddies. She will be taught that this is 'normal', acceptable, and even encouraged as we 'must all explore our sexuality'. The lifestyle is self-perpetuating as it can't procreate--oh, but it's oh so 'normal'. Indeed.

Sally may even be questioned on where she got these views/beliefs. Why mommie/daddie/ grandma/grandpa of course. I'm not Chicken Little. This all will happen. The text books have already been printed, just waiting in the wings. This is not a tin foil meme, someone very close to me was a public elementry school librarian and retired early so they did not have to witness or be a part of what was coming down the pike for our dear innocent children. She read the textbooks. They're here.

So now we have these poor children who will not only be confused, but torn in their loyalties. What child has not looked up to and admired their kindergarten, 1st - 3rd grade teachers? And what if the teachers encourage the children to report on their family's views regarding this and other topics.

This was always going to happen. Watch how fast these textbooks make it into the school. We've been duped again. They just had to go through the 'motions'. One judge overthrows the will of 7,000,000 people? Yeah right. Where I come from, that's called living in a totalitarian state, communist state, etc., etc., whatever label anyone wants to put on it. Basically, anti-freedom.

My only remaining comment is to beg the Lord to please get us out of here so that His justice and will may be done.

My husband has sadly predicted for a long time that the homosexuals would get a case such as this before the Supreme Court and that they would win, with the Supreme Court citing the "full faith and credit" clause as the reason. I fear he is right. I honestly don't want to live in a country that doesn't recognize traditional marriage as between one man and one woman. If the homosexuals win on this issue, I predict that things will go downhill rapidly.

I also think that if they win, the next thing that homosexuals will do is sue churches that refuse to marry them. Christian pastors may have to resort to marrying Christian couples at private homes so that the homosexuals cannot prove how many marriages are taking place or where they are taking place because they won't be performed publicly at the churches.

As for the Prop 8 issue, I think the history of polygamy shows why Mormons are so concerned about legislation on marriage and the potential consequences of marriage legislation not going our way. When polygamy was outlawed their were several blatant violations of Mormons’ right to worship freely including the seizing of church property and the government temporarily unincorporating the Church. More recently, news stories reporting how businesspeople in Massachusetts were penalized for not wanting to support same-sex marriage added to Mormon fears that the legalization of same-sex marriage would eventually lead to infringements on our freedom to worship. While the Church hasn’t clearly detailed its motivations for getting involved in Prop 8, my opinion is that the issue was more about protecting religious freedom than discriminating against gays. This fear of violations of our religious freedom stems from numerous historical examples of the government violating Mormons’ religious freedoms combined with modern news stories from places where same-sex marriage is legal. Many people - my self included - used to be very tolerant of homosexuals - I knew it was disgusting and weird and sinful, but had a “live and let live” attitude. I worked with one, had a friendly relationship, I figured his life was his business. (I was also accosted twice by homosexuals and the experience was utterly repellent and disgusting, but I did not hate the individuals. I just said “NO!!!!” very emphatically.)

Until the mid 1980s, when I learned about the homosexual agenda. I started reading books, researching, and learned from others via newsletters and so on. And everything I feared has come to pass.

The homosexual agenda is pushing and promoting via the courts and legislation “Homo-Leninism” - forcing people against their will and against their moral values - to hire, associate with, allow fostering and adoptions, marriage and so on - homosexuals. Hate speech is against the law - many places you cannot say anything even “homosexuality is dangerous for the health” or “homosexuality is condemned in all the scriptures of the world”. Children are force-fed “gay is good” in schools and clubs.

Ever seen footage or photos of “Gay Pride” parades? There are some on FR - just yesterday or the day before. You think that should be on teh public streets? Sodomy in public? You think the promotion - by law - of homosexual depravity is equivalent to people eating too much or arrogance?

Do you see “Gluttony Pride” or “Adultery Pride” or “Lying Pride” parades? No? Are there hate speech laws or “senstivity training” about overeating? Mrs. 0thugga has a campaign against over eating - aka gluttony - so it’s okay to condemn that behavior. There are laws against muder, rape, slander - but homosexual behavior and those who practice and promote it have special protection under the law, to the extent that our freedoms such as freedom of speech, religion, and association are getting torn to shreds.

I took my kids out for ice cream (and no, I wasn't harassed by the border patrol), and two lesbians were making out next to the front door of the establishment. I was disgusted, but didn't say anything about it. I'm kind of ashamed of myself for not saying anything to the restaurant owner. It was all for public show. "Deal with our lesbianism wherever you walk" type of thing.

I don't care what they do behind closed doors, assuming no children are involved. But it's my business when I can't leave the house or turn on the TV without seeing that garbage.

When I read your article about bonobos, I of course, thought of Owen. He would love them. But, I had to ask the question, "Am I comfortable with him learning about bonobos and their behaviors?" It's a good question for me to ask myself. If I'm honest, I would say my first reaction was to shield him from these animals because of their behavior. This wouldn't be uncharacteristic for us, since there are lots of animal behaviors that are difficult for a four-year old to understand (i.e. mating, violence, etc...). However, what's different about this particular behavior is that in an orthodox biblical position, homosexuality is a sin... but animals don't sin. We don't typically place animals in a moral category. In other words, they don't do righteous acts or unrighteous acts. So...what am I to make of these animals that engage in homosexual activity? It seems to me that this behavior reveals a sense of brokenness in the natural world. Paul spoke of the unnaturalness of homosexuality, "men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men..."(Rom. 1:27). So, what he says is unnatural, now looks to be natural! But, just as natural disasters aren't normative, neither is homosexual activity within animals. The creation itself is marred with the effects of sin (i.e. death).

Indeed! I have read reports that most homosexuals have dozens, and some even hundreds, of sex partners. Most homosexual relationships don't last more than a few months. I have read some reports that say lesbians don't have those same issues with promiscuity and that they don't get AIDS as much as gay men, but I don't believe it. Lesbianism is just as bad as being a gay man, and I don't think lesbians are any different. Both of them are depraved and my opinion is, if they are capable of living such a perverse lifestyle, they are pretty much capable of anything -- gay OR lesbian. They all need help, and I think criminalizing homosexuality would be a step in that direction. It might not convince all of them to back away from teh homosexual lifestyle, but I think it might convince a lot of them.

Twenty years ago, I attended an “open house” at my daughters school. One of the subjects discussed was a lesson plan called “free to be you and me” which taught that homosexuals were normal.

I stood up and said “Why is it that homosexuals have a much higher rate of suicide than heterosexuals? Why is it that alcoholism is rampant in homosexuals? Why is it that the average life span is so much lower than heterosexuals?

Could it be because homosexuals have sexual intercourse with, lick, suck and eat human $hit?

I got thrown out, but the curriculum was not adopted ;-)

There is a lot about homosexuality that the gay commuinity does not want you to hear. First of all, most of them consider themselves to be in a "committed" relationship if they still go to the "bathhouses" and have sex with anybody they want to and as many as they want to but return home to their "partner" after all the fooling around with many other gay men.

And it is that very promiscuity that made AIDS a gay disease in this country. If the heterosexual population were as loose with their morals AIDS would be rampant in them as well. In fact, there is a higher incidence of all STD's in the gay population than in the straights. So they are sinners on two counts, being gay in the first place and being "adulterers" (if you can really use that heterosexual term for gays) and fornicators.

Yup, if I were writing the laws homosexuality would be a misdemeaner, and a felony for a third offense. Just the public health aspect of it alone demands such laws.

Homosexuality should STILL be illegal. All they are doing is acting out because they are either traumatized by a bad experience with the opposite sex (in which case they need psychological help) or becaues they are being willfully rebellious. NO ONE is naturally attracted to the same sex. NO ONE naturally wants a relationship with the same sex. We ALL crave love and affection from the opposite sex, as it was intended to be. People who are homosexual are deceived. They have psychological issues and they desperately need mental and spiritual help. If our society were to make this behavior illegal, I think it it would stop alot of people from being homosexuals. Maybe not all, but alot.

The Catholic Church continues to learn the painful lesson of allowing homosexuals into the priesthood. Let's not forget there are many homosexual priests entrenched in the church and they will continue to fight reform in this area. While the overwhelming majority of priests are wonderful men of God living the Christian life, many were there for the boy’s club atmosphere reminiscent of the destruction of WMCA. This has become a problem since the 1960's, (not for centuries), when restrictions on homosexuality in the priesthood were loosened due to the liberalization of Church policies in defining celibacy. The question was raised "what difference does ones sexual orientation matter if celibacy is an objective, After all we all as human beings have our crosses to bear"? Clearly a big difference.
Berating the Church serves no purpose other than to strengthen those who wish to destroy her and propagate this abhorrent activity of abusing post pubescent's. Shawn, Satan has everything to do with it.

This is not an idictment of homosexuality, rather of those predators who whish to abuse children and young teens.

Homosexuals have no history of slavery, Jim Crow, lynching or being legally defined as 2/3 of a person. I have known people who have been delivered from homosexuality. I have never known anyone to be delivered from being black. The Democrat Party's commitment to abortion, homosexuality and moral relativism is an affront to the values of the black Christian community. It is a 'Coalition of the godless.' Black Christians do not belong in a 'coalition of the godless,' and should not vote for those who are.
