No. I mean, I’ll respect the right to make such a choice, but the people making these choices tend not to behave responsibly. They want to have all the freedoms of the compliant without compliance.

Does Nicholas also teach that they made a full disclosure to school and daycare about his status as a plaguerat? The hole in the wall that would otherwise be a herd immunity?
Does he cover how and why some people, some parents, and some health professionals cheat and forge vaccine cards to get unhindered access to schools that believe in vaccinations and require them?

Yeah it says that he isn’t allowed to go to school because he’s unvaccinated so his mom homeschools him. What happens with his unnamed autistic sister is unmentioned.

What’s next, a kids’ book about how it’s fine to drive drunk and not wear seatbelts?

I looked them up. They give awards to children's material that meet an esteemed panel of experts high standards of excellence. They deny being a pay for award organization and that not everything submitted gets an award.

The other award winning books I looked up are all have low quality art and have titles like "My Brilliant, Resilient Mind: How to ditch negative thinking and handle hard things better"

So yeah, it's pay for award.

I also looked them up before reading the comments. In addition to being a scam as Skybison says - they’ll approve virtually anything as long as you pay them - they also seem to be banking on people confusing them with Parents Choice Awards, which does have a bit of a controversial history but has been around since 1978 and appears to be a legitimate and fairly respected (if a bit obscure) awards organization.

I found Kroner's website at https://drshannonkroner.com/ and it's as bad as I feared. For one thing, she's not a medical doctor.

Our beloved Spanish-speaking community is very important to me and deserves to know the truth about vaccines as much as anyone else.
Unfortunately, there is not much honest information about vaccines circulating in Spanish.

The second preview page really annoys me. “My mom says my sister is vaccine injured” says Nicholas NOVACKS (trying to be clever, didn’t catch that one at first) next to his sister who appears to be perfectly healthy, she just wants to hug her teddy bear instead of playing with her brother with his toy plane. That’s so horrible?? That’s the worst example of a “vaccine injury” you can come up with???

yeah, I can’t help but yell at them that being introverted is not a sign of autism, since plenty of non-autistic folks are introverted as well just as there are plenty of extroverted autistic folks.

This is uncertainty propaganda. The goal is not awareness to the best knowledge and research, but to sow doubt and fear. To promote a false balance between fact based knowledge, well tested, working medicine, and random bullshitters like the author and quacks on the internet. It also confuses science and medicine and identity politics. And includes the promotion of old disproven falsehoods, disclosing the author's ignorance or malice.

Also, Kroner is a psychologist, having no credentials in immunology, virology, epidemiology or neurology. Even when quacks have credentials, one should rely on the scientific consensus, because precisely, it is stronger than the individual opinions of scientists. It is part of proper science to correct itself as well as to mitigate human fallacies, including that of scientists, who are just humans. Before a vaccine is widely distributed, there are actual trials. When they are being developped, there are actual reasons and it targets actual harmful pathogens. It is known to be effective by epidemiologists. All that is dismissed with grandiose implied conspiracy theories.

Claimed links to autism are also long discredited. Not because science is a great knowledge suppression conspiracy. Because it has successfully demonstrated the claim to be false.

Then that may be part of the goal, avoidance of actual education, in favor of only indoctrination at home, often using flawed material that would not be acceptable to pedagogy...
