Ever used a modern ironing board? That was invented by a black man named Elijah McCoy. It was later improved by a black woman named Sarah Boone.
Since you’re so worried about black people being violent criminals, how about the home security system? That was co-invented by a black woman named Mary Van Brittan Brown
Or maybe the traffic light with the yellow warning? That was invented by a black man named Garrett Morgan. Probably saved at least a few lives.
Ever needed to have something dry cleaned? That process was invented by Thomas L. Jennings, another black man.
Automatic elevator doors were invented by a black man named Alexander Miles, who probably saved a lot of people from falling or being crushed to death.
I’m guessing you have benefited from central heating. That was invented by a black woman named Alice H. Parker.
Or how about Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn, and Mary Jackson? These black women are a huge part of why we were able to put Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon.
