That works with my theory that most haters only hate stuff because it’s supposedly “cool” to hate them. I mean, think about it; Star Wars prequels? Most hate was undeserved and just done because “everybody did so”. Yet when the (genuinely inferior) sequels came out, everybody suddenly started praising the prequels and hate on the sequels instead.

Same thing with the hatred for the Mass Effect 3 ending, which was later more ignored in favor of hating on Mass Effect Andromeda; and the anime Bleach, which was shat upon significantly back in the day, but now that it is making a comeback, everybody’s hyping it up and decide to start shitting on its rival Boruto instead. Or even Star Trek Enterprise; used to be hated as the worst back in the day, now praised in favor of hating on “new Trek”, aka Picard and Discovery.

I’ve watched ep 1 & 2 of She-Hulk so far; and quite frankly, I don’t get the all hate for it. At all. It’s funny, cheesy (in a good way), and feminist. All like the OG comics are, afaik. It knows what it is and doesn’t pretend to be otherwise. So, for the life of me, I don’t get why everybody acts like “MCU has just gone full woke!!!!!!”

You know, this makes me think of the very first Percy Jackson book. If you ask me, it’s one of the reasons why I think monotheism like the Abrahamic religions simply doesn’t work on a logical level. If one single, omnipotent deity is in charge of everything with no threats to its authority in any capacity, then there is no excuse whatsoever for said deity not to do things better!

I mean, take Greek myths, for example. Zeus was the king of the gods, yes. But only after usurping his father, who in turn usurped his father. And none of them actually created the cosmos (that would be Khaos and the Protogenoi). Likewise, Zeus is not in charge of the afterlife, that’s his brother, Hades. And Hades does not even judge and sort the deceased himself, he has an entire bureaucracy for that. Thus, it’s much easier to understand how any flaws can exist in such a system, regardless of whether the gods are jerks or benevolent.

Look, Jesus, if you don’t want innocent teens to go to Hell, then stop sending them there over utterly trivial things! It’s really that easy!

And to all fundies who claim that god doesn’t send anyone to hell, here’s something: God created Hell. God created the criteria by which people go to hell. God enforces those criteria. Ergo, god is the ONLY ONE who sends people to Hell.

Well, f*ck you too, stonetoss! I have a clinical depression for years now. While sunny weather and keeping myself busy certainly helps keep the dark thoughts at bay, I need my medication to keep my emotions and moods from going completely out of control. It’s not a placebo, I’ve tried stopping (under guidance) two times now and each time the people around me told me how much more negative my behavior was. I’ve even tried different medication, and then my loved ones told me I was pretty much an empty husk.

It don’t like being dependant on meds for so long (especially since sometimes they can make me a bit lethargic), but I have no other choice at this point if I don’t want to risk hurting myself.
