1. Neither of those syringes look like they have blood in them, nor do they look like the type that draw blood.

2. If a human's blood was that black, every cut would ooze out that blood. The body would be a whole different color. You can't just swap out black liquid and blood and have it be unnoticeable.

3. If there was a massive conspiracy to poison people... why would they announce it? Wouldn't it make more sense to just have someplace like Walmart mix in something with the food or water? Or just lie and say "Yup. Pure blood." And then snicker as you're "poisoned?"

1. Depends on what you mean by "fundamentally." Land, water, and air are all on Earth, so the first premise is kinda wrong.

2. Credit Cards only work if the bank can account for it. It's more common nowadays, but up till recently it was better to bring cash to be exchanged when visiting.

3. All ships being female is blatantly untrue. While in English people commonly associate ships with she, it isn't that all over. Since this is supposed to be an "international truism" we know the author is completely wrong.

4. Ah, the good ol' "Homophones have secret meanings... that don't translate to other languages" thing. Just because, in English, Berth and Birth sound similar doesn't mean they are related. And, "Informant?" I'll need to double check mine, but certainly don't recall it saying that.

5. Berth also doesn't work for a "code word" for birth. Berthing/making berth doesn't equate to unloading cargo/manifest. It's just stopping in a place with a dock. And ships make berth to load cargo as well, on top of just general stops. It's like equating parking in a parking spot to unloading your car.

Well, the only real issue with race swapping the Black Panther specifically would be making sure that the authors also avoid the "White Savior" trope on top of that.

Aside from that, go for it, if the writer can do a good story. I'm really not a fan of just generally swapping a character's race or gender for no other reason than to do it. I'm much more in the camp of just having a new character if that's the case.

For the "What If?"'s in general, I prefer more flipped situations than completely flipped characters. Think the best example is the Age of Apocalypse run where we had the same faces, but drastically different setting and mannerisms. They were still recognizable.

Having Spider Man as a completely different Spider Person with no real similar character traits... is more whatever. I'm sure Arachnid-Man can be interesting, but if Deter Darker is just so far removed from Peter Parker it's less a "What's If?" and more a "Here's This." Not saying it will be bad, just something that doesn't appeal to me.

As someone raised Catholic, it is always baffling seeing the Protestant anti-Catholic stuff written out. Mostly because they always seem to either not know and/or lie about things.

Even the given example, with Pope Francis asking Mary to accompany Pope Benedict, he twists it into Mary somehow being in charge of the soul. Took me awhile to find any transcript so I gave up, but from what was written in his post and linked articles, yeah. He's straight lying.

While I'm no real fan of the Catholic Church in general and it is rife with abuses, bad practices, and hypocrisy...
