All this really does is expose how fraudulent your “patriotism” actually is. A bear’s intentions are made known very quickly and they’re apt to leave you alone once they’re satisfied you’re not a threat to them. The bear would also find significant difficulty if it tried to follow you back to civilization and attack you there. A human, if they so chose, would have a much easier time of that. A human’s intentions aren’t always clear and are often completely irrational. For example some people are so bizarrely triggered by the suggestion that women don’t immediately trust every man that walks up to them they will gleefully wish real bodily harm on women so that they may laugh at them being taken down a peg. That’s fucking weird and pretty much exactly the kind of thing that brought this whole question into being in the first place. And following this trend of the insane behaviour of supposedly civilized human beings if a woman survives a hostile bear encounter when she returns to society she won’t get publicly attacked for “leading the bear on” or something nor will some smug shithead take to TV crying about “not knowing what the rules are” and that bears shouldn’t have to live in fear of their actions making women afraid. In a hostile encounter with men women tend end up the ones on trial in the eyes of the public getting character assassinated for years after the fact. An instant mauling is frankly preferrable to suffering that shit.

The difference there is that dysphoria distresses the one experiencing it and has a negative consequence for them until it is resolved. What they’re doing here is declaring that a non-distressed natural state, being comfortable with one’s sexuality and identity, is an illness and is most likely going down Russia’s path to snake around the ethics of discrimination over sexuality and gender by using a designation of mental illness to restrict rights and autonomy. It’s about equivalent to declaring brown eyes a physical deficiency and then using that to impose the same occupational restrictions as colour blindness.

Tautological Templars: Their lies can’t be morally wrong because they see themselves as good people working to good ends. All reality must be centered around the conclusion that they are “good” people doing “good” things. So nothing they do can be bad. And their goal is to make more people like them, so any child born they have unrestricted influence over is worth any collateral damage along the way. Cutting corners is a hallmark of for-profit prisons and guards figure they’re paid to keep inmates in and under control, not to really give a shit about them or do wellness checks let alone protect scum from scum unless doing so directly prevents a prison riot. The very fact a lot of the conspiracy theories surrounding his death are actually plausible and that so many people would have offed him or *even worse* more or less on principle with or without being anonymously slipped a few cartons of cigarrettes while even more would have just whistled innocently pretending they didn’t see or hear anything if it happened right in front of them actually makes the idea of him committing suicide and having the means to do so because of guard apathy/antipathy more legitimate. A man backed into that corner might want to go out on his own terms if only because it would be significantly less painful and terrifying than waiting to see just who does the deed and rob them of the satisfaction in the process.

I consider any of the three possibilities equally likely: Suicide, “prison justice”, or hired hit. Though some ideas for who would call in that hit and why are less likely than others. It was after all more than politicians and celebrities rubbing elbows with Epstein and often people would rub elbows with him just as a means to rub elbows with other politicians and celebrities the same way a lot of college students join influential fraternities or sorrorities not really caring about whatever rumors or legal troubles are associated with them only seeing that famous people did the same. It’s just as likely a name you’ve never heard of on the “Epstein list” of people who’ve been to his island and doesn’t have political power or aspirations or even a vested interest in American politics altogether. If someone bothered to orchestrate a hit I’d think it would be someone more directly involved with the trafficking angle and sees themselves in closer reach of the law than the increasingly unhinged and totalitarian Party of Cheeto Mussolini who have come to embrace that laws really don’t mean shit unless they personally allow them to and scandals that would bury others so deep the next three generations of their children would bear public scorn are merely opportunities to panhandle and peddle merch while painting themselves as martyrs.

Well if you want marriage to have dignity you COULD stop treating it as a transactional obligation to be met as early as possible, suffered through regardless of the participants actual feelings insisting they will grow to tolerate each other as time goes by and if not they’ll find solace in their “duty” reducing their significance in their own relationship and indeed diminishing their agency and the fundamental value of their lives by framing everything around the production of children in pursuit of the social structure of family and doing more as political capital than anything else. Amazing how you can make any accusation you want against an individual from a marginalized group - or the group as a whole - and it won’t be treated as prosecutable slander even if it has a direct negative impact on their lives to the point of financial loss or physical endangerment. In fact most protections of the law simply don’t protect them without a massive public backlash that is then held against them, simultaneously downplayed about being about one person and a single incident but also being held as an indictment of the marginalized group and anyone who tolerates them because of a “pattern of unrest” that is somehow never linked to the continual bullshit.

Until very recently: LGBTQ+ citizens could not gain the benefits of marriage, could not leave their significant other the beneficiary of their wills or insurance if their relationship was known, did not qualify for many medical benefits either as family or even individually considering malicious medical misinformation that clings even today, could be summarily denied work or fired from a position, and were/still are generally treated as though they are criminals of the worst nature as a mere fact of their existence. And this baseless perception affected everything - affected absolutely everything - from the basic observance of rights as a human being let alone as a worker should they seek legal recourse to employment, to housing, to the ability to travel, and anything and everything to do with being in proximity to children.

And that’s just the economic impact you seem to think is more important than the whole human rights and being murdered in the streets to the legal consequences of a public shrug aspects.

Not only are laws currently being worked on in the US to roll things back to that sorry state entirely new fucked up laws such as one that will put teachers and parents on sex offender registries for accepting and supporting children who come out going a step further than your example by stripping the rights of people AROUND the oppressed to facilitate their oppression and frighten off support. Yeah, your economy was so strong store shelves were bare, people were knifing each other for toilet paper, and Mitch McConnell was telling states to declare bankruptcy instead of appealing to FEMA (whom Trump used to bid against states and drive up prices auctioning PPE from FEMA’s stockpile which is supposed to be distrubuted in times of emergency, some of which he had the audacity to seize and re-auction under a wartime act that is supposed to be meant to give the government the ability to compel production rather than seize private paid for goods and incidentally declaring the United States at war with allies who bought the PPE and even its own states) to do what the organization was supposedly founded to do.

Oh and even before Trump initiated the greatest economic bailout in US history he was already in the middle of bailing out farmers because of the damage he did directly to them when he decided it was a good idea to pointlessly wave his dick at China… which you might remember only for the stink raised that nonwhite farmers were quite noticably left in the cold and you hold that against THEM for some idiotic reason blocking later attempts to correct the situation.

Anyone else in this world would already be in jail, what with Trump CONSTANTLY violating judge orders like when he tried to secretly move money and hide assets, ignoring gag orders to not sic his mob on the families of anyone loosely related to his trial, various attempts at tainting the jury pool and intimidation, the fact he’s a flight risk and has been repeatedly caught feeding information to America’s enemies and attempting to destroy or alter public records and misrepresenting the Presidential Records Act to mean all records of his time in office are his private property which is pretty much the fucking opposite of what the law entails... The fact he’s been repeatedly caught red handed in the act of everything he’s been accused of, really, and that he ALWAYS doubles down and that he keeps saying flat out he will abuse any power he gets his hands on and explicitly have people KILLED.

Anyone else would have been in jail ages ago. It’s fucking amazing he hasn’t had an “accident” already especially given his own toadies have never been safe from his fickle tantrums and their lives are usually the first to get ruined acting as a buffer between that psychopath and the consequences of his actions.

I get the distinct impression this person’s idea of “cuteness” is quiet terrified deference allowing another to speak and make decisions for them in peer groups and public settings and the “abuse” in private is voicing exception to the expecation of a total surrender of agency or the implication that the only reason they can function as a human being at all is having their autonomy placed in the hands of their “caretaker” SO who so generously shoulders the burden of carrying them through life. Or “help them cope” as they more flatteringly try to portray it. Or you know, finally venting what they’re feeling when they feel safer and that being construed as disrespect.

Like Whitney Ellenby’s idea of parenting and sheer barely disguised contempt for the idea an autistic person is even sentient thus permission, consent, or forgiveness need never be asked and privacy or respect never granted… but with sexual benefits.
