The patient and doctor then decided that the patient should seek a consultation with a different physician.
But while Dr Brière was organizing the new appointment they had another dispute about pronouns, which concluded with the doctor refusing to book the new appointment and telling the patient to organize it themselves.

After 40 years in practice, perhaps Dr. Brière should think about retirement if he can no longer relate to his patients with any degree of professionalism.

Evolution explains a great deal about our own biology. For example, the reason broken ribs can lead to pneumonia is because the pain can restrict your breathing, and without proper breathing, fluid can build up in your lungs until you drown (pneumonia).

Your lungs have fluid in them already because we evolved from fish, which breathe water. The oxygen-absorbing cells in your lungs need to be damp in order to work. But too much fluid will cause you to drown.

My layman's explanation probably misses some details, but the gist is that the ToE helps medical science progress. Creationism only helps creationists make money.

You're quite right, but if ever a criminal had turned his life around, it was George Floyd. From his Wikipedia entry:

Between 1997 and 2005, he was convicted of eight crimes. He served four years in prison after accepting a plea bargain for a 2007 aggravated robbery in a home invasion. After he was paroled in 2013, he served as a mentor in his religious community and posted anti-violence videos to social media.

The most important point is that even if Floyd HAD been guilty when arrested, his death was still murder. And murder is always wrong. No matter what color you are.

Now if only conservatives would accept that.

Once a person is under arrest and in police custody, the police are responsible for his or her well-being. It doesn't matter what crime the suspect has been arrested for -- that's why they're called "a suspect" and not "a felon". They are still considered innocent because they haven't been proven guilty in a court of law.

The police killed an innocent man. That's why people marched, because they understand that it could happen to any of us. If conservatives had an ounce of empathy, they would understand this, too.

I watched the video, and from what I can tell, the author classifies different rocks as fossilized tendons and blood by their color. If he sees red rock, that's blood, while white rocks are tendons.

The most obvious problem here is that blood and tendons don't fossilize; they decay away far too quickly for the slow process of fossilization. Only bones last long enough to be fossilized.

It's very clear the author has never taken any geology classes, much less read up on the subject.
