Occam’s Razor would suggest that if we don’t NEED firemen to explain the cup of water, we shouldn’t add firemen to the explanation for no real reason.

Cathy made some statements about gay rights in accordance with his first amendment right to do so. A bunch of other people used THEIR first amendment right to respond.
‘Free speech’ means the government can’t shut your talking hole. It does not mean that there are no consequences to your speech.
So, no one is breaking the law, no one is denying him any rights, no one is persecuting him.

I, and many people in my state, ARE hostile to Cathy, but not because of his race.
And not because he’s politically conservative.
And not because of whatever religion he holds himself to be.

However, he DOES wish to impose his religious beliefs on homosexuals. I am hostile to my son having to live IAW Cathy’s superstition. But I don’t wish to mistreat Cathy for being superstitious.

I have a fairly conservative family from South Idaho. I was a little worried that they were going to react poorly to my dating, much less marrying, a black girl from the Navy. I confided to my dad about my grandparents visiting while we were in Scotland. He said, “You’re dating a girl, they’re ecstatic.”
And most of the people I know or am related to approve.
I think that this is the attitude of people from ‘presumably good stock.’ Not yours.

Thing, according to both of the states where my kids were born, they’re not ‘mixed race,’ you twatwaffle. Due to the one-drop rule, they’re black. They’ve always been black. They do get some weird looks going on stage with the other black kids for any sort of recognition, but that’s just other people’s expectations.
