Man, I simply love the bible, it’s just like 40k
I mean, if you look at the bible and its lore (especially the Old Testament) as it is, a fictional, grimdark cosmic horror fantasy story(*), it’s certainly entertaining in its own way. But no sane person should base their entire life and morality upon it…
(*)The supreme being who created all and determines all fates and is utterly unbeatable is also a wrathful, prideful, capricious, vengeful, fallible, cruel, petty monster, and the ONLY being that ever tried to rebel against it is somehow even worse… As mortals our only options are to surrender our limited free will (that we were given but must never excercise) and live in permanent subjugation in relative misery, or show any independent thought (or even try to escape via death) and be damned for an eternity of unimaginable torment… No escape, no hope, no peace EVER.
Hell, the ultimate proof is that apparently angels/goodness can easily fall/become evil, but demons/evil can NEVER rise/ become good. Says a lot about the nature of reality according to YHWH, doesn’t it?

Plus, you know, lesser divinities (“angels”) being so horrible and alien that merely looking upon them might scare mortals to death…
