Parents bring children into the world through the parents’ choice, not the child’s.

But you seem like you feel sorry for yourself a lot. And your other daughter didn’t get caught up in your little attention-seeking pity party. Talk about self absorbed. And when you finally did get something from your daughter it wasn’t enough and you didn’t like it. You’re like the person in the restaurant who complains to the waiter that the food was awful and there wasn’t enough. I’m guessing the rest of her life with you was like that. He did debate some people that were prepared - once. When he went to Cambridge and tried to debate those students, they ate him for lunch. He couldn’t use his manipulation tactics - they saw right through them. They were far more versed in every topic, and all he had were the typical logical fallacies he employs that many Americans don’t recognize and that conservative Americans mistake for being a good debater. And he looked foolish and it was obvious that he was completely unprepared and, worse (for him), his posse wasn’t there to intimidate the people who disagreed with Kirk. Kirk did everything he could to try to get those videos out of the public eye and possibly even off the internet so he could go back to pretending he was the intellectual giant he pretended to be. No, he absolutely could not ‘debate any PhD candidate’. After this he went back to debating undergrads who were on their from one class to the next and didn’t have a chance to bone up on whatever Kirk was on about that particular day.

My dad as well - he didn’t live in the tropics but he worked on the family ranch from the time he was about 8 until he went to college, and he also played baseball from high school through going to the minors in his mid-20s. He never even thought about sunscreen during those times.

So, USAID cannot legally fund any politicians or political campaigns, regardless of what country it’s for. That includes the US. If they were doing this, they would have lost their funding long ago.

They were targeted for shut down by Musk because they were investigating Starlink’s implementation in the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Supposedly those terminals were supposed to be there to support Ukraine but a large number of them ended up being sent to Russian occupied areas.

Pride has never been funded by USAID. Its funding comes from a variety of sources, including corporations and grants from international LGBTQIAA2S+ support organizations, but it has not ever come from USAID.

Rap leaves the top 40. Country and Western replacing it. Maybe this is a spontaneous change in public taste, but if so, it is a change that just happened to happen at the same time as USAID stopped pushing rap down the throats of the public.

Rap being funded and ‘pushed down our throats’ by USAID is a right wing conspiracy theory that’s been going viral recently. People like Joe Rogan and Tim Pool have been pushing it on their shows. Second of all, many of the same artists who are associated with rap have recently started experimenting with country because that’s what good musicians sometimes do - once they get bored of a certain genre or they feel like they’ve done all they can with it right now they try other genres they are less experienced in. Part of the reason that country is becoming more popular right now is because people like Beyoncé and Post Malone have recently done country songs.

And rap has not left the top 40. Currently there are 15 rap songs and 19 country songs on the top 40. So right now country is slightly more popular. It’s happened before - remember that awful ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ song that took over radio in the early 90s? And sometime, maybe sooner, maybe later, other genres will become more popular than country again. That’s the history of popular music.

Googling “Pablo Sanfras” only gets you Jim’s blog and an unrelated Instagram which uses “Pablo” and “Sanfras” separately. It’s not out of the question that the last name might be spelled wrong, but again, probably just made up.

I agree, I think he made this up as well, I also looked it up and only got stuff about Pablo Sanfrancisco and Pablo Francisco. Both of them are actors and have nothing to do with USAID or the migrant caravans the right are so afraid of. I am not at all surprised because people like Jim will do anything to make their god-king’s administration look reasonable, but I am still disgusted. Shit like this leads to right wing vigilantism, and they are much less likely to look into things to find out if they’re true before they act.

Pride attendance has been on a slight downward trend since its peak, seemingly because a bit fewer people feel the need for it and it’s become overly commercialized, but it’s still going quite strong, and there hasn’t been an abnormal drop following the USAID cuts.

There is also a not-unreasonable fear that Pride events will be targets of mass shootings or other terrorist acts, especially since the Pulse nightclub shooting and the heightened level of threats toward LGBTQIAA2S+ people due to the rise of fascism.

Mothers in public places frequently demand attention from everyone around them. It’s not unusual to see a mother in a store talking very loudly to her child while she looks around expectantly for compliments. His mother commented loudly on his every move, announcing that he was going to be a doctor because he picked up a toy stethoscope. She could care less that people in a doctors’ office might be sick or in pain and needing quiet.
Another example: We were in a park, sitting by a pond with fish, celebrating one of our birthdays. Other women were drawing and talking quietly in this peaceful space, with plenty of room for everyone. Then a class-privileged-looking mother of a very young boy came up and sat so close that she touched one of us, even though there were other empty seats near the pond. She held her son out in front of her, literally pushing him in our faces, saying loudly, “Look at the fish, dear!” The boy looked completely bored. She repeatedly told him to notice the fish, while looking expectantly at us. We ignored her, which wasn’t easy, considering the noise she was making and the fact that she was brushing against one of us. Then she asked if she was bothering us. When we said yes, we’d rather not be shoved, she began yelling at us. We reminded her, quietly and politely, that she had asked us and we were only responding. She continued yelling, so we told her that we just wanted to be left in the peace that was there before she came. She walked away, screaming, “You must be Lesbians! You must be Lesbian Separatists! Well, I fuck men!” (The other women at the pond looked at her like she was crazy.) We’d said nothing to her about men, boys, het women, heterosexuality, or being Lesbians. We simply had refused to smile at her and her boy.

Even if the supposed examples actually did happen (and I’m not convinced they did) this all sounds extremely paranoid. I’m thinking maybe Bev is the one who wants attention.

Just the tariffs alone have significantly damaged the ability of small-time farmers to sell their crops to foreign buyers.
