Actually, satan has pulled a pretty clever and devious scheme here. he uses the evil Phelps group to vilify the name of Christ amongst the lost and unbelievers and gives all believers a bad name. Then he uses that to cause a way to silence the church through legislation.

Peak oil is just another scam to keep the prices up. There is more than enough oil, enough in Alaska alone to last for over 200 years.
There lately has been much evidence that oil is self replenishing, it is not made from dead plants and animals buried in the flood. Think about it for a minute, the very same people who claim the oil is from buried foliage don't even believe there was a flood(or even the existence of God), how can you have it both ways?

I have recently considered posting about Criss Angel because I've seen the commercials for Phenomenon and my discernment kicks into overdrive. I agree with [another poster]. There might be a way to explain his tricks and illusions, but how can it be proven that every trick Criss does is human illusion and trickery? He could use human illusion to win people over to the darker side of magic and sorcery?
I think that even though he might have some of his illusions based in this realm, I'm willing to bet that he has help from a more sinister realm. And I'm willing to bet that those in his inner circle have probably seen him do things that would curl our hair.
One of my cousin's kids came home from high school one day pretty upset. The teacher had the kids go around the room talking about themselves to allow them to get to know each other better. One of the girls had introduced herself and said she was a witch. What upset my cousin's kid wasn't as much the witch intro as the way everyone else reacted. They were absolutely fine, including the teacher, with having a witch in the class. Tolerance doesn't mean what it used to.
Personally i think that [Criss Angel] has made some type of deal with the devil. Yes i know it sounds crazy, but it has been proven with other rock bands and other celebrities.
I saw him on TV one time walk from building to building 50 feet in the air with no ropes or anything..It looked like he was flying...very creepy.

I can remember back when RFID chips were first being developed. My wife and I were discussing just how seductive the technology would be to the masses. First, by putting the chip in the hand one could just stand near a point-of-sale device to be identified (no hassle with wallets or purses.) Next, for those that don't have natural limbs, you could put the chip in the head and get the same effect. Finally, by having this as a positive proof of ID, one could just link in as if it were a credit card scanner, dial out, and do an update straight to the bank. The only thing was the fear that someone could chop off a hand (or head) and use the body part on it's own. So, we figured you would need to derive a signal from something like a pulse or nerve firing to verify the person was still valid. But, if these things were accomplished, you could use the chip for everything from smart soft drink machines to a personal key for cell phones to unlocking and starting cars to turning off the safety on a person's gun. Anybody that didn't see the possible tie-in to the MotB would jump at something that easy to use.
I still get as sick to my stomach thinging about it today as I did way back then.

Before any woman seeks to be a leader over Men in a Church I would have her examine her motives. Is she doing it because she feels that she is as good and maybe even better than a man? OR is she being humble, desiring to serve God in full obedience to His Word?
God has establised a Divine order on Earth. It is clear about who has been given Authority. Husband over Wife, Men over the Church, Parents over Children, Masters over Slaves, Government leaders over Citizens. Sadly in not all those who are in leadership roles are performing them to perfection, but neither are those who should be in submission performing theirs perfectly either.
We should be praying for our men and encourage them. We should want them to grow and mature in the Word of God so that they can perform the roles God has assigned for them. When each person is performing their role as the Bible outlines them, then we can have blessing in our Families, Communities, Nations and Churches.

I suppose many of you may have seen the ads on tv where the checkout lines in some store are all moving along at a fast pace. All of a sudden one customer pulls out cash or a checkbook, and everything falls apart. Ah, they need the plastic card, then everything starts moving again!
I know that credit cards and bank cards are nothing new. But one thing I noticed, is that sometimes the cards aren't even "swiped," just held up to the "machine" or whatever it is. It seems like methods of paying are getting quicker and quicker, faster and faster. I can't watch these commercials anymore without thinking "fast track towards the mark of the beast."
I probably shouldn't admit this, but a few weeks ago I was at a salad bar and one of the meat dishes was BBQ pork. This muslim woman walked by with a burka on and it crossed my mind to pick up the BBQ and throw it at her just to see if she'd burst into flames or melt like the wicked witch did in the Wizard of Oz. I'm so bad! [laughing smilie]
I know other countries are much worse off, as far as persecution. But I think many of the people in those countries feel bad for us, because our culture is so permeated with evil--sex, sin, power, filthy riches, etc. I know that a lot of their underground churches are much more blessed than we are. (I think a lot of you know what I mean.) I am grateful for our blessings, but I think going home would be the greatest blessing of all.
The #1 worldly thing the Lord Jesus Christ saved me of is Halloween. I used to really be into it. For at least the last twelve years I have hated it. I have a stash of Jack Chick "Halloween" tracts (Boo!, Little Princess, etc.) and I leave a pile of 'em on the stoop of my apartment building. I don't answer the door. I don't go to Halloween parties any more and I refer to 31 Oct as "Satan Day" whenever anyone brings up the subject. I actually hope I offend my neighbors with the tracts, but it hasn't happened yet...

I look for the Battle of Gog and Magog next, though I always felt that the rapture could be a catalyst for this battle. With the U. S. crippled due to the millions missing and the resulting confusion of the rapture, what better time for Gog to strike Israel. With Russia and her allies destroyed by God, Israel rises to prominence. Then the a/c steps in to calm down the ones left behind.

I wonder a lot what role children (those raptured or who have died before the age of accountability) will play during the millenium and in eternity future. I have two small children under 3 and as fast as things are moving prophetically, they may never reach the age of accountability and have the chance to personally accept Christ as Savior.
For a while I felt like I wanted the Lord to wait to come back until after my boys accepted Christ because there are rewards (bema seat) and blessings that I didn't want them to miss out on if we get raptured before they got to that point. I've come to a great peace about it recently and know that God has a plan for them whether we are rapture out of here sooner than later. I've also come to the realization that I really don't want my children to lose their innocence in this fast deteriorating world.

We're ready! We ordered some tote bags that say "Jesus Loves you" and 100 Bibles. We put the Bibles, a Salvation bookmark, some tracts with puzzles, and candy in the tote bags. Last year it was very awkward trying to stick a Bible in each kid's pumpkin (they don't fit!) and I'd end up just handing it to them. ...
Say what you will about Halloween, it's an excellent witnessing opportunity, and I love to see the kids' faces light up when you hand them the candy and Bible! They think the candy is the best thing they're getting, and I know I'm giving them something a lot better and more important.
I have always been wary of those aliens. People who have encountered them say they receive a telepathic message saying, "don't be afraid." Read somewhere that when they prayed to Jesus Christ, these "visitations" come to an abrupt end. Sometimes, they grudgingly hiss before they disappear when you pray to Jesus Christ out loud. Reports like these make me suspicious about the nature, rather, supernatural nature, of these "extraterrestrials."

All the children get a personal demon---you heard me---a demon in the shape of a cute animal. Its presented in such a way that every kid who sees the movie will want their own demon...
If your child goes to the official movie site, they can take a test to see what personal demon they will get.
If the series makes money, the producers will make all SEVEN of the books into movies. And in the end, the children kill God and everyone rejoices.

Well, at least he was young, so when he stands before Christ he'll be able to blame family or society for that. I'm sure he's in heaven now, but it's sad that it came to this. The problem is that today's world is far too complex for their young minds to understand. they may take literally what they shouldn't, and that can be troublesome.
Your first duty, as parents, is to protect your children. That may well mean pulling them out of the public schools and even leaving California, if it comes to that. As it is, the whole generation of children now under the age of accountability is in mortal danger of being hopelessly lost to God's grace for all eternity because of this demonic teaching they're going to be forced to endure in the public schools. If you leave your children to endure that teaching, there is the very real danger that your children will be eternally destroyed.
Sorry if I sound dramatic, but that is how high the stakes have risen. That is why we must pray that God will come and Rapture us FAST!

I keep thinking that when the Rapture happens, many of us on SS will be taken...so when that occurs--there will be more SS money in the kitty for those left behind. Because once we're gone, our SS checks will quit coming to us.
Since sadly, I'll be leaving behind my brother & SIL, I trust that they will no doubt notify SS about my sudden departure, and have my SS checks stopped.

But here's the most horrible shocker of all.........sometimes they put these freebie movies in for a day or so in hopes to get you to buy (LAUGH....as if we would) ANYWAY.......they are PURE EVIL! I MEAN PUUUUUUUUURE EVIL! Every one is so evil.......last night......I was watching one of the programs and this PG 13 had FRONTAL NUDITY and the actual S act! This is not acting, and these actors are all having S. in front of whoever watches it. The saddest thing about it is......I CAN TURN IT OFF>.....but what of the young kids with no parents and no one watching out for what they tune in on tv? I mean, we don't pay for any of this ...it's coming on free. I asked them to stop it but they don't stop it.
And last night they also had a program on by Al Gore.....stating that all these weather changes is just global warming and has nothing to do with as he quoted it "the book of Revelations." This supposedly highly educated man doesn't even know it's the BOOK OF REVELATION!!!!!!!

The reason I ask is because i have a friend who's daughter has a friend with 2 mommies.

And the 11 year old girl basically rebuked the adult and Defended Homosexuality in a very haughty way that just Floored me.

Humans lived longer then for various reasons and they would have appeard more neandrathal like given their age. It's all about having a Biblical world view when examining science so that it makes sense...someone with a Biblical world view would have already guessed that the brain structure and size would have been similar if not identical to today...

I see those flames on TV and think if those people who do not know our Lord Jesus Christ and are not saved, are horrified at that sight, they have no idea how much more horrific it is going to be for them should they die in their sins & suffer the eternal flames of the lake of fire.

If satan does not have a physical body, and cannot operate within the mind, what power does he have? As I see it, that is the only way they have power at all. Teaching people with open minds all kinds of doctrine of demons.
I believe satan and the demons are handicapped by their inability to see the future. As we know the ability to predict the future is God's alone. That is how God can work all things together for good, despite Satan working hard to mess things up. Take the holocaust for example. Was the hatred of Jews influenced by satan? Absolutely. It was satan trying to throw a wrench into God's plan, by trying to eliminate the Jews. However, as we saw, God used it for good.

For me it is almost like my own voice in my head, like when you are thinking to yourself, only I can tell the difference between my voice in my head or the holy spirits voice. His word says I know my sheep and they know me, they know my voice. Usually when I have been praying or talking to God then I will get a thought or almost like a conversation in my "spirit" or mind I guess. It's hard to explain when it is something that you just "know". But it is definately different than just thinking thoughts for yourself, sometimes it is very powerful and sometimes it is very subtle.
