:rolleyes: Actually, I can give you several valid reasons that aren't sexism why a woman being pastor isn't the best idea.
A. I think that a lot of women are way too emotional. Being a pastor is a huge responsibility, and most women aren't really emotionally capable of handling it.
B. Women can be mouthy. The pastor that we had at our church (the woman) was nothing but. She was just nasty to people. For example, a young couple in our church (that the woman despised) got pregnant out of marriage. The woman pastor told them if they didn't get married before the baby was born, if something happened to them, they would go to hell if they died. I don't know of a male pastor out there who would take personal feelings and use them to be that mean.
C. I think that a lot of times, women can become power-hungry moreso than men. Obviously this leads to some bad situations for many churches.

Does anyone else feel like all of the attractive girls are essentially pagan? I'm not talking about showing skin here, I mean just fashionable and beautiful... even if it's just facial beauty! I go to a small Christian university that is filled with strong Christians. There are only about 2,500 people but dangit! I've found THREE people there the entire time attractive only on the physical level. One is now married... the other is in a serious relationship... The third is also dating someone and is one of those "unapproachable" girls. She has that one girl that she talks to and no one else.
It seems most of them fall into the following categories...
1) Devout Christian. Moderate to High intelligence. Doesn't take care of their body (is either fat or just really really weak and unhealthy). No sense of fashion, pure, but possibly needy.
2) God is an important part of life, but not the driving force. Moderate intelligence. Takes care of body and might even be highly attractive but has so much baggage you know you could never deal with it. Good sense of fashion but is very needy and would be clingy in a relationship.
3) Total pagan. Blazing hot and in excellent shape. Very fashionable. Either moderately intelligent or brings retardation down to a whole new level. Superficial and has almost no depth. Has sex often and talks about it openly.
Finding a girl with the physical attraction of group 3, the strength as an individual and confidence in one's self that group 2 doesn't have, and the Christian devotion and intelligence that group one has almost seems like an oximoron. Logically I know it's not true but based on experience time and time again it breaks down to these categories.
I myself feel uncomfortable with women serving as pastors. I find that they are inherrently liberal, and very prone to femininist theology. I also find their abilities as orators and councilors inferior.

I find this thread interesting because I enjoy collecting various dinosaur teeth. I believe some of the dinosaurs that had sharp teeth always had them. Did you know there are several animals that live today that have very sharp teeth that don't eat meat? A fruit bat is just one common example. There probably are a few dinosaurs known for their sharp teeth that never ate meat in their life. There is a lot of assuming that goes on about dinosaurs. We assume just because they had sharp teeth they must have been meat eatters. Just to make my view clear I believe before the fall no animal, that includes dinosaurs, ate meat.

I need to tell you something about our God. i don'r expect everyone to believe it, but it is absolutely true. God created Hell shortly after the death of Jesus. He was an angry father and chose a punishment that was totally excessive - Hell. He realizes that a parent should not punish a child while the parent is angry. And he now realizes that that is exactly what he did. He regrets ever creating Hell and is in the process of closing it down. One thing that God has never experienced is physical pain. He does not understand the concept of it. When I explained it to him, he dicided that the punishment of eternal pain in Hell was and is much too much. He is now in the process of taking people out of Hell and counting their punishment is finished. That is the kind of God he is. What I've just stated is absolutely true and at this time I have no way to proove it But there will come a day soon, this year, when I will be able to proove it.
And that's something else---we still have to assume evolution happened in order to make a theory for evolution work.

Groups of animals are just created with similar traits; that's why they can be grouped.
That's why a designer would make more sense. Evolution couldn't possibly explain why whales have hair, but it makes sense from an ID standpoint; that God made groups of animals similars, and added more similarities with each subgroup.
An accident couldn't have made variety that can follow a logical grouping pattern of kingdom, phylum, species, genus, etc.

For the last 6 months, I prayed that God would cause my family (brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, parents, etc) to come to know Jesus in a personal way (some to return to Him and some who have never known Him), so they wouldn't be left behind when the Rapture occurs. The earth was originally created for the angels, perhaps as long ago as science calculates its age.
They 'kept not' (maintained) their estate, instead rebelled with Lucifer.
They were cast (back) to earth. This caused massive destruction, upheaval, etc.
They were consigned to inhabit creatures especially made by God to reflect their wicked nature. This continued for perhaps millions of years until God began his plan of restoration.
During this time the earth continued to suffer flooding, earthquakes, upheavals, etc. from the destructive forces set in motion by the casting down. Generations of these creatures died in the turmoil and were buried in the sediments.
The first stage of the restoration was to destroy that ancient world, by a final worldwide flood.
Genesis 1:2 describes the earth in that flooded condition.
