How do we know true from false and right from wrong?
Some maintain that such things are a matter of opinion and, apart from human opinion, have no existence at all. This is obviously false to Christians.

There does exist true and false, right and wrong.
Yet how do we know which is which?
Humans disagree, societies disagree, even religions disagree. Is there any solid way of knowing true from false or right from wrong?

God and God alone determines true from false and right from wrong.
As He loves us, so He reveals true from false and right from wrong to us.
Yet many maintain that there is no such revelation, and so they argue over true and false, right and wrong, based on their thoughts, beliefs, opinions, feelings and those of other humans. In essence, many will maintain that the basis of and or only way of knowing true from false and right from wrong is the 'self'

As Christians we do not abide in our 'selves', nor follow our 'selves', nor determine true from false or right from wrong by our 'selves'.

Jesus Christ is the One in whom we abide and not another, even our 'selves'. He is the revelation of truth and righteousness.
So why do some Christians say "God has revealed homosexual acts are immoral", while others say "We, our 'selves', believe it is not immoral"? Which 'side' has its moral basis in God's revelation and which 'side' has its moral basis in the 'self'?

I tell you no church has ever blessed homosexual relationships through God's word but only by following popular opinion based on majority vote.

CHURCH leaders want Sir Elton John banned from Tobago - in case he turns the locals gay.

He is due to headline the Plymouth jazz festival there next month. But Philip Isaac, the Archdeacon of Trinidad and Tobago, believes the singer could tempt the islanders into gay ways.

He said: "His visit to the island can open the country to be tempted towards pursuing his lifestyle."

AdvertisementThe Archdeacon condemned Sir Elton's marriage to David Furnish, saying it doesn't conform to "biblical teachings" because a "man should not lie with a man".

And he wants to save the star, 59. Mr Isaac said: "The artist is one of God's children and while his lifestyle is questionable he needs to be ministered unto."

Homophobic campaigners claimed that a clause in Tobago's immigration laws means homosexuals could be kept out of the country. The local radio station has been bombarded with calls opposing his visit.

One local told an island newspaper: "We have a huge problem with homosexuality in our population because, unlike our foreign counter-parts our free-up nature,,. and cannot support the conditions of this lifestyle."

But local lawyer Anand Ramlogan confirmed there is no law against sexual orientation in Tobago.

Festival organiser Anthony Maharaj said Sir Elton will take part. He said: "We should be honoured to have him.

"This is a man who was knighted by the Queen, who was highly complimented by Desmond Tutu." Sir Elton's spokesman declined to comment.

Last night, during the TalkProphecy.com radio show, I was discussing all the heat that is being applied to Marine Gen. Peter Pace to apologize for calling homosexuality immoral by likening it to adultery. As I did so, someone filed a complaint against our radio show for engaging in hate speech.

That's right, Christians! We were accused of HATE SPEECH because, I suppose, I said that General Pace shouldn't HAVE to apologize to anyone! That would be because homosexuality, whether those who practice it choose to consider it a sin or not, is DEFINITELY adultery at the very least! That would be because the God-ordained institution of marriage defines it as a union between a man and a woman and we are not to engage in sexual acts outside of marriage. When we do, it is considered adultery in the eyes of God. Adultery is a sin and, as such, immoral. Does that mean that General Pace HATES or I HATE anyone? If it does, then all those who are practicing homosexuality must hate us as well. Think about it!

If the homosexual community doesn't like my Christian views, isn't that an act of HATE using their standards as a tool of measurement? Certainly! If it is an immoral act of hate for me to call homosexuality a sin, it is likewise an immoral act of hate for them to be offended by my religious beliefs.

Those who are quickest to cry foul when someone expresses a view other than their own need to take a page out of their own playbook and be tolerant of others! Logic would dictate that this is the fair and appropriate response, but that's not how it works! Far from it!

Homosexuality is being widely accepted in schools now by administrators, school boards and some parents and students because of diligent, aggressive people who believe it’s okay. I believe many demons can be transferred into children at birth, at the time of delivery from the medical staff who handles the baby. It is believed that Homosexuality imay be transferred from a homosexual person as they lay hands on the baby.

Democrats have launched a new campaign to convince Congress and the American people that open homosexuality would be good for the United States' armed services. A group that assesses military preparedness says such a policy shift would seriously damage future U.S. military capabilities.

And they are using a skewed poll to support their arguments.

Forcing the military to provide an open door to those who choose the homosexual lifestyle would threaten the recruiting potential for the military.

I don't know ANY soldiers who want a homosexual sniffing around them, their barracks, or anywhere around them.

Technically the term we are speaking of is not necessary slander of a homosexual since according to some interpretation of what God states homosexuals will burn in hell fire. You could blame he for a type of bigotry since so will adulterers, those having sex outside of wedlocks, thiefs, liars, etc.

The term we are speaking of could also refure to the practice of executing homosexuals by burning them at the stake but I know capital punishment was also reserved for adulterers, thiefs, and a number of other individuals we choose not to execute now.

Countries that have a strict justice system do seem to keep crimes like homosexuality, theft, etc. in better control than we do.

You and other gay-worshipers always fall back on the erroneous belief that anyone who refuses to celebrate the diseased behavior of homosexuals is automatically motivated by "fear and hatred." I'm sure that's certainly true of some people, but I would venture that many heterosexuals are like me: Honest enough to admit that they are repulsed by deviant sexual practices because they find those practices intrinsically, innately, and empirically disgusting.

How interesting that you immediately went for the ad hominem attack rather than try to debate the issue itself. So disappointingly typical and predictable. No one could possibly think differently from you unless there was something "wrong" with them as people, right?

There is no logical reason the government should care if a homosexual couple wants their sexual relationship recognized. Only heterosexual relationships will provide men for the military and not homosexual ones... The prime objestive of any government is to nuture an army of qualified recuits. Homosexual realtionships cannot provide recuits because homosexual sex canot produse babies. Since Magistrates have such a sure Biblical mandate to protect the innocent people in society by using the sword to execute sodomites (he that doeth evil), why then, are Christians encouraging civil officials to ignore the commandments of God concerning homosexuality?

They're trying to have Christians refrain from using them as symbols. It's another sly way of erasing God. No Christian would want to be confused with supporting homosexuality and they KNOW that.

When I purchase a rainbow, I MAKE SURE, it has clouds on it to make sure there is NO MISTAKE that I do NOT support homosexuality. I almost made the mistake in purchasing a rainbow garden flag without the clouds. They use a rainbow flag to show support for homosexuality. I had to explain to my daughter WHY the garden flag had to have clouds on it - to distinguish it from supporting perversion - at 7 1/2 yers old ... I had to go into this stuff ... THAT also makes me mad.

THe same is true of homosexuals wanting to be married - they don't want that ... homosexuals want to remove the meaning of marriage and mock it.

Congratulations! This proves that homosexuality is a sin and not God-given like so many homosexuals believe. It clearly states in the Bible that any union between to members of the same sex is wrong, especially when it is a sexual union. Many a homosexual, as I know you know, will use the excuse that God mad him or her and because he or she is homosexual it must be God-given since God made them. This excuse could not be further from what God says in the Bible. I call it an excuse because that's exactly what it is: an excuse! People will come up with any kind of an excuse to continue doing the sin that they want to do. When I totally gave my life over to God I was able to overcome a sin I thought I would never ever ever be able to ever stop doing: the sin of masturbation. I was plagued by this sin for years. I knew it was wrong but just could not stop it to save my life. I attribute it to my Roman Catholic up-bringing. As a Catholic, the only way to confess sin is to another sinner in the guise of a priest and then keep mute about it. After the confession the priest would give a penance which, upon doing whatever the penance was, would absolve you from your sins. When I converted over to discipleship which teaches to confess your sins to God by sharing them to others so that, as a team, one can help the other overcome them. Man is too weak to even think, let alone act, alone on a sin because Satin is just too strong. As the old saying goes: "There is strength in numbers." The more an individual believes in God the stronger He gets. Combine the belief of a number of individuals and the strength of God gets even stronger. The devil does not have this ability, therefore weakens before God. This is how I was able to defeat masturbation. I now have replaced lust with God in my heart because I have made God stronger than the devilish sin of masturbation. To God be the glory!

You need to know that Satan and evil spirits are very strategic. Jesus said in John 10:10a that it is the thief that comes to steal, kill, and to destroy. That is the goal of our spiritual enemies, but how they go about to accomplish that in a person’s life is very much planned out and strategic. Satan and evil spirits tempt a person in the weak areas of their life. Where do these weaknesses come from in a person’s life? There are many different ways that demons gain entrance into a person’s life: generational curses, evil soul-ties, doors of sin that you opened in your own life, or something that someone did to you, such as molestation, rape, abuse, rejection, and abandonment to name a few.

Generational curses trip many people up in life---including Christians. Simply put, generational curses are legal rights or open doors for demons to torment a person and a family line with a weakness to a specific sin or an infirmity until it is broken in the Name of Jesus. How is it that a Pastor of a mega-church falls into the sin of homosexuality? The Bible says that homosexuality is a sin and an abomination in the sight of God (Lev. 20:13; Romans 1:26-27). I can guarantee that a person that is homosexual has one of two things happening in their life or both. First, many times if you dig into the family history of a homosexual, you will find out that several family members had that same weakness in their life; a generational curse is present in the family line. Secondly, that individual was molested, raped, or abused, which caused them to turn to a perverted and sinful lifestyle. God loves the person, but He hates the sin and expects them to repent and seek spiritual help. Just because a generational curse is active in your life, you still have the ability to resist the sin. It is simply a legal right for the enemy to torment you in your life until it is broken in the Name of Jesus.

Those who have experience debating homosexuals understand that if one exposes the dreadful realities of gay sexuality, the fallacies of gay arguments, or the public dangers of the gay agenda, homosexual opponents will sometimes throw temper tantrums and shout personal insults. Should we walk on eggshells to avoid offending gays? No—but we need not use unnecessary roughness. Mere truth is very potent by itself, and we actually diminish the force of truth if we use words or actions that are more forceful that the circumstances require. Those who trust in the power of truth feel no need to shout.

When one speaks truth and says no to evil, the agendas of evil are exposed and resisted, and the momentum of evil is broken and thrown back in confusion. The tantrums, insults, and threats that might ensue are a manifest sign of the confusion and moral weakness of the wicked. We can claim victory only if we remain calm, reasonable, and resolute. “And in nothing be terrified by your adversaries, which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.” (Philippians 1:28) When we remain calm, respectful, rational, unafraid, and steadfast in our stand for the truth in the face of the threatenings and slanders of the wicked, it is a visible sign of victory for us. The misbehavior of the wicked is a shame to them.

Interestingly, our battle is not one of good versus evil, but of truth versus evil. Evil always concocts a lie that confutes truth. As Christians, we have authority to speak truth, but we have no grounds to claim to be good. The only goodness we have the right to claim is Christ's goodness imputed to our account and working within us, not as the reward of merit, but as an undeserved benefaction received by faith. In contrast, when we oppose evil, we have the right to say, “This is Truth, and Here I Stand,” to paraphrase the famous words of Luther

Nicolosi co-founded NARTH in 1992 and has served as the organization’s leader since its inception. From the beginning, the group combined a combatively homophobic agenda with bizarre pseudoscientific theories. For example, Dr. Nicolosi has said factors in the causation of homosexuality include “fear of tall bridges” a “phobia of the phone” and once claimed that gay men are more likely to be “pee shy.”

He has encouraged his clients to become more masculine by drinking Gatorade and calling friends “dude.” The doctor also applauded a patient in one of his books as making progress toward heterosexuality after he didn’t give a man his phone number at a bathhouse after they already had sex. Even more ludicrous is Nicolosi’s notion that, “non-homosexual men who experience defeat and failure may also experience homosexual fantasies or dreams.”

NARTH does not keep track of its failure rate. When asked by a Newsweek reporter why he kept no statistics, Nicolosi claimed, “I don’t have time.” More troubling is that Nicolosi does have the time to analyze children as young as three, telling the Advocate magazine that, “It’s my job to increase the possibility of a heterosexual future for these effeminate boys.”

NARTH member Dr. Jeffrey Satinover once reported that Prozac might be a cure for homosexuality. Another major NARTH contributor is Holocaust revisionist Scott Lively, co-author of The Pink Swastika, a book that partially blamed gay people for the Holocaust. “The Pink Swastika will show that there was far more brutality, torture, and murder committed against innocent people by Nazi deviants and homosexuals than there ever was against homosexuals,” wrote co-author Kevin E. Abrams in the preface describing the book.

The organization’s methods are so eccentric and bizarre that the American Psychological Association specifically condemned NARTH by name at the APA’s annual convention in August.

Just recently my son Bobby came out to me. I had been worried for awhile. His teachers said most of his grades were slipping and he seemed depressed and withdrawn.

Bobby said he'd been hiding it for awhile because he was afraid I would reject him. I sat him down and told him that I loved him and that God loved him, but that his salvation was in danger if he did not resist his unnatural tempations. I told him how being gay would mean he would live a shorter life, and that if he couldnt change his orientation he could be celibate like most the ex-gays are. He started crying saying something along the lines of "I knew you wouldnt understand! You're just like everyone else!" before running to his room and slamming the door.

What did I do wrong? I dont want to lose my son, but I fear I already have. I talked it over with his therapist, who had the ludicrous idea that homosexuality was unchangable and that trying to repress could lead to lots of psychological damage (I've dropped him and will try to be finding another therapist with more moral beliefs). I wouldnt be surprised if he's the one who's feeding my son all the homosexual propaganda about how its 'ok' to be gay. That, or how homosexuality has engulfed the media, making it seem 'cool' and 'hip' and how they were just another oppressed minority. You didnt have to worry about seeing two men making out on tv at my age! I dont want to sound like a fanatic, but Im worried what other effects will come out of this increasingly secular, immoral society obsessed with filth.

When you find something in the Bible that you don't like, most likely it's the Holy Spirit convicting YOU on something which is going on in YOUR life.

Homosexuals don't like Leviticus 18 and 20, Romans 1, 1 Corinthians 5 or 6, or Jude -- and yet, homosexuals know intuitively that their choice of lifestyle is WRONG, that it is SINFUL, and the Holy Spirit is trying to convict them to get them to repent of their homosexuality and move back to normal, God-given heterosexuality.

Women, particularly feminist women, don't like 1 Corinthians 14 or 1 Timothy 2 which forbids women from speaking in churches, teaching in churches, or having any authority over men -- and yet, women know intuitively that God created Adam FIRST, THEN Eve from Adam; that God came to earth as a male (not a female), and the natural order is God - husband - wife - children. This exists all throughout nature and also in all human societies. Dogs and cats know this. Horses and cows know this. All of animalkind accepts this -- except humans, who think they have the right to go against God's Natural Order where women are "equal" to men. Christ grants a degree of equality to women, but women have their own sphere of influence just as men have their own sphere.
