I’d be more than happy to share my small apartment with Ukrainian college girls.

That reminds me of something. Here in Belgium we’re getting a lot of Ukrainian refugees; and there are organizations helping noble volunteers make room for homeless refugees. However, as the founder of the organizations revealed recently, there are a sickening amount of men who give very specific criteria for Ukrainian refugees to correspond to. Namely (and I quote): “graag leuke, mooie, intelligente en verzorgde Oekraïense vrouw” (translated it says “Preferably nice, pretty, intelligent, and groomed Ukrainian woman”).

It seems like there are more incels here than I would have liked to admit. And indeed it sickens me. Taking advantage of war refugees to find a foreign mail order bride or something… It makes me lose faith in everything.

P.S.: while I myself don’t have room for refugees in my appartment, at least I donated a bit of money to some refugee organizations to ease my conscience.

Thing is, we act like that (mockingly and mean) because we consider them "a serious concern”. As long as people this delusional/batshit insane and willfullly ignorant happen to have any authority over others, any at all, and remain able to have influential voices in civilized society, I think we should consider them a serious threat that has to be taken down a notch. I don’t know about killing them, but I do sometimes wish I could build (and get away with building) a very powerful, intelligent virus and let it loose on the septic pit of the internet (Incel sites, pedo sites, QAnon sites, etc). A virus that would not only utterly break their computers, but sent all incriminating evidence to the authorities asap. As well as transfer all money from their accounts to charities for rape victims and such.

On a slightly related sidenote, things like this do make me wish “Person of Interest” was real. Wether it’s the truly benevolent Machine or the more extremist Samaritan, having an ASI scour and monitor the Internet and CCTV and privately (without leaking info to corruptible humans) take care of all threats to humans (in various ways) starts seeming more and more like a tempting idea…

Honestly? Even if my perfect female specimen was suddenly lying unconscious and naked on my bed, with no one knowing about it, the first thing I’d do is panic a bit (as I’m not good with such things), after which I’d try to wake her up and give her some rudimentary clothes and offer her water to drink. If that doesn’t work I’d immediatly call an ambulance. I wouldn’t even go so far as to take a picture, let alone molest her; not even should I be drugged with an overdose of aphrodisiacs or something.

I’ll be honest, I thought so too. I also foolishly & naively assumed that, despite his flaws, Putin still wanted what was best for his own country. But the way he treats his own soldiers, economy, and loyalists (throwing them all in front of the bus for his own sick delusions) proved me wrong. Turns out, Putin is just another Trump & Kim Jong Un; the only difference being that Putin at least wore a somewhat convincing “human disguise” for most of his career.

Well, yes, people should still be sexualized in porn, I agree on that. That’s kinda the point of porn after all. As for sexualizing people outside of porn, eh… That’s more of a tricky argument. On one hand, the occasional fanservice for the sake of humor doesn’t hurt much (especially in animated or cgi works); on the other hand, many works go too far with it and I can fully understand if actors and such get uncomfortable being put into those situations too often.

Besides, I think too much needless fanservice in a work does detract from the overall quality. Even if it’s an anime or such.

I feel like the Republic had lot of problems even before Palpatine came in and made things worse.

Wasn’t it already established in Phantom Menace that the Republic was only a shadow of its former self? With sheer bureaucracy and corruption preventing anything from getting done. Granted, Palpatine was the one who gave a few, last big pushes to make the entire thing fall down completely, but I doubt he would have succeeded in his plans if the Republic was still in its golden age.

Its part of the reason why Palpatine managed to sell the Empire so well in the beginning; both the fear of the Clone Wars and the corruption in the Senate had the citizens desparate for any change at all. The Empire promised and delivered said change; unfortunatly it wasn’t change for the better.

Anyway, say what you want about the Prequels, but all-in-all I think that Star Wars gave a really interesting and well-conveyed message.

…Wut? That’s the first time I heard that Lucas intended the Empire’s Stormtroopers to be hispanic… Or rather, “space hispanic” if you want to go there.

Still, I agree on one thing; there is a heavy political message in SW; especially the Prequels. But it’s obviously supposed to warn AGAINST political corruption, dictatorships, & race supremacy and all such things… I mean, the tyrannical, corrupt, autocratic, Nazi-esque, & human-supremacist Empire are without a doubt the BAD GUYS!
