Good point that I didn’t think of on first reading that post! I myself have French-Canadian ancestry on my mom’s side. There’s a commune (what we’d call a “township” in the US, I think) in southern France with the same name as my grandma’s maiden name. I’m guessing her or her ancestors in Canada or especially in France didn’t think of themselves at “British!”

Well, I’m an atheist, and I’ve never once bought a Christmas tree, and I’ve never bought gifts for my children. That would be somewhat difficult, due to them having a slight case of not existing. I do certainly participate in Christmas festivities with various family members, and even buy them gifts. Like was already said, it’s as much of a secular holiday as a religious one these days, like it or not.

On WAR’s podcast, on the September 3, 2021 episode, Wayne says something about how most homeless people are not nice, they’ve burnt their bridges, their family hates them. I don’t know how Wayne came up with this. He seems to have disdain toward most homeless people.

I’ve spent some times homeless myself, and definitely none of that applies to me. My family hates me so much that I’ve been living with my parents for a few years now, lol. And I’ve actually kept up friendships with a few people I’ve met in homeless shelters years ago. Sure, I also met some people in those places that weren’t very nice and so forth, but you can meet people like that anywhere.

For what it’s worth, back in the days when I was raising hell (lol) in the comment sections on “Christian News Network,” I remember one of the fundiest of the fundies there was a woman, I believe from Korea, she confused me for a moment because she had referred to herself a “person of color” or something to that effect. At least according to what she had said, it’s commonly used there when they would want to differentiate themselves from white people.

OK, if the First Amendment was meant to only protect (or give freedom to) Christianity, do you really not see the major problem that comes to my mind? Who gets to say who’s a Christian and who’s not? Do Catholics count if you’re a Protestant or vice versa? Or how about Mormons, for that matter? How about something like Unitarian Universalism, which has roots in Christianity, and has Christian members, along with those of other faiths and of none?
