While I don’t mind “anime fanservice” in general, I do agree that a lot of the time it goes so far as to stop being tasteful. Especially since I’ve noticed that if the source manga has even a bit of fanservice, its anime adaptation tends to dial that up to 11 (looking at you, One Piece). Plus, you know, the whole excuse of “underage-looking girl is actually an adult” gets disturbing and old VERY quick.
One of those manga I did like is “Monster Musume”; yes it’s Ecchi and thus very heavy on fanservice and big boobies. But for the most part it still had enjoyable humor and characters and interesting worldbuilding. But lately it feels like what little plot and depth it had is disappearing, which I find sad.
I also haven’t watched Redo of Healer yet and I don’t think I plan to.
Anyway, it’s stuff like that that makes good quality anime that doesn’t have excessive fanservice a massive breath of fresh air.
