To be fair, at least the whole Bonney stuff got significantly toned down in the manga after the reveal. The anime is another matter. Plus at least Oda had the decency of NOT having Sanji perv on her even before he knew her true age.

No, what bothers me more is that there are still RL people making lewd fanfart of Bonney even after her age was revealed.

While I don’t mind “anime fanservice” in general, I do agree that a lot of the time it goes so far as to stop being tasteful. Especially since I’ve noticed that if the source manga has even a bit of fanservice, its anime adaptation tends to dial that up to 11 (looking at you, One Piece). Plus, you know, the whole excuse of “underage-looking girl is actually an adult” gets disturbing and old VERY quick.

One of those manga I did like is “Monster Musume”; yes it’s Ecchi and thus very heavy on fanservice and big boobies. But for the most part it still had enjoyable humor and characters and interesting worldbuilding. But lately it feels like what little plot and depth it had is disappearing, which I find sad.

I also haven’t watched Redo of Healer yet and I don’t think I plan to.

Anyway, it’s stuff like that that makes good quality anime that doesn’t have excessive fanservice a massive breath of fresh air.

I’m genuinely curious, why do you not consider suicide a right? I’m not attacking you, I’m truly interested in hearing the pov for that argument from a non-fundie like you.

As for me, I consider suicide a right because it’s MY life and MY body to do with as I please. Including ending it for any reason. To me forbidding suicide is the same as forbidding abortion, perhaps even worse so. However, that does not mean that the decision to commit suicide should ever be made lightly. Anyone should first look for professional help and make damned sure that it’s what they TRULY want/need before going through with it.

And just to be clear, I consider suicide a right for the aformentioned reasons, sure, but I frankly don’t think that it’s a right that should ever be exercised in a healthy society. It shouldn’t be shameful or stigmatized, but we should do our hardest to make sure nobody ever gets to that point.
