Actually, you can blame/credit a man named Carl Linnaeus for classifying humans as primates on the basis of our biological similarities. (This was long before Darwin, by the way.)

I think there might be some confusion because of the concept of "index fossils" (those remains that are common and widespread in different strata). The rocks and fossils do correlate, but were (and still are) used for relative dating (the order of strata) not absolute dating (the actual number of years). Also,the original stratagraphic system (thst our modern one is a refinement of) was created and codified by basically creationist researchers before Darwin's Origin of Species.(I actually have a copy of one of those offical charts that dates from 1841--18 years before!)

There is no inherent connection between(for example)having XX chromosomes and wearing a dress,makeup, and Chanel #5 perfume. Just as there is also no inherent connection between having XY chromosomes and wearing pants,suit and Old Spice aftershave. The latter things are only what our culture thinks are appropriate. We even "gender" all sorts of nonbiological things,like ships being referred to as "she". Sex (biology) and gender (culture) are two mostly separate concepts that are confused way too often, especially in statements like the OP.

Yeah,I was exposed (indoctrinated) with that stuff for four years during my junior high school years in a private Baptist fundamentalist school. While math and English were generally OK, social studies were very biased (especially concerning non-Western societies) and "science" was a mess of Creationist propaganda and misinformation. It took many years of secular re-education to undo all the damage.

Many of these "statistics " ultimately originate in crappily designed biased questionnaires. One of the ones that I saw quoted recently was originally created (in 1977!) by leaving the forms in gay bars for any drunkard (or any other person who thought they were ridiculous) to wildly exaggerate their alleged sexual histories. These forms were then uncritically cited as "evidence" for the promotion of the citer's BS.

Especially when you consistently fail to separate the "sinner " from the "sin". As long as the one you are referring to is identified by the "sin" to the general exclusion of any other, more relevant and humane, criteria, your judgment will be inherently unfair and offensive.
