By the way, humanism caused atheism. Humanism was arounda long time before it was finally defined in the humanist manifesto.

My opinion is that the Humanist Manifesto basically spelled out in formal terms the unwritten doctrine that many lived by since the first human rebellion against God. The only difference is that the Humanist Manifesto, being somewhat recent, includes and supports Darwinism, and outright mentions Darwinism. (Darwin was a devout Christian, by the way, who denounced his theories on his deathbed because apparently he felt guilty about them and I think that was because the church was against them).

Darwin, of course, and his evolutionist theories did not exist in ancient times, obviously. But the general doctrine of atheism has been around for centuries, and I'd also venture to say that there may have been a kind of humanist manifesto written centuries ago, as well - only not called by the name Humanist Manifesto.

Atheism is definitely nothing new, you're right, but the root is basic humanism - that is, a belief that humans are, in essence, their own Gods - that there is no higher power for humans to answer to; that humans are the highest power there is.

Atheists, whether one cares to admit this or not, believe that there is no higher spiritual power than themselves. There is no God, therefore people are the higher intelligence and/or supreme beings.

The prostate gland requires a certain amount of love and attention just as all our glands do. Excessive abuse doesn't fall into that catagory. It is obvious to me...even if not to others, that by wasting, constantly, in their millions, the active components that make babies, we are inflicting self harm on ourselves.

Just as these part cells can unite with another and create new life in the conventional way, they also, invisibly, come together within the body and in so doing regenerate, refreshen and rebuild body cells. In wasting them in the way that we do they leave glands and organs undermanned. The prostate, as are other body parts, are making a few such spinnerets do the work of many. It isn't surprising then that they get tired and agitated or that we do to as we slowly fall into disrepair.

The prostate takes the full burden of all this wastage...that is why we must learn to repair it first.

When Monsters Live Among Us

There are two things about me that are not secrets. One, I am a lover of the mysterious and paranormal, and two, I have had my fair share of hostile encounters with malevolent spirits and beings. One such encounter actually led to my conversion to Hellenic Polytheism. I am not skeptical of the spiritual and paranormal, or the unusual and extraordinary side of the world because I have seen and experienced it firsthand.

One such incident happened in 2009 or 2010 in North Carolina. I would have to say around this time period because I remember it being a very hot summer, and I was already Hellenic by that time and it was before I moved out of my first apartment, so it had to have been the summer of 09 or 10. Which, if you've lived in North Carolina, you know summer lasts longer than 3 months. So it's an educated guess as to the exact date. However, the details of the event will stay with me forever.

My wife (fiancee at the time) and I were driving in my old Buick around the town we were in at that moment. It was lunchtime and Anastasia wanted Chinese food. I wasn't in the mood but I wanted to make her happy. Besides, I was normally able to find something I could deal with at a buffet. We located a random restaurant and sat down inside. Two Chinese waitresses dressed in blue stood by the entrance to the dining room. After a few minutes, I just felt immense uneasiness, a presence of sheer hostility. It was something that just made me literally want to move. I soon looked at Anastasia and said, "Can we leave? I don't feel so good." She quickly consented.

On the way home, my wife informed me that the two waitresses had been staring intently at me from behind the entire time. Then, I recalled their eyes as I passed them on the way out. They were as black as night, or at least shadowed to give off such an appearance. I didn't know these people at all, nor had any idea why they would hate me so much. Especially to the point that their energy would impact my feelings. I love the Gods dearly, and I can only conclude that I encountered someone or something in or around them who didn't like the Gods or their people. In ancient Greece, people found monsters in the deepest confines, but today, they have left their prisons and live among us in many forms. This I truly believe.

The problem is that they or a group of them decide what a good deed is or who are the good people by consensus or group think. The group may decide it is good such as Hitler’s Germany who said they needed to weed out the weak and infirmed for the greater good of society. Same with our society that says it is better to kill a baby than to bring it into poverty even in a country that prides itself on upward mobility. The group may decide it can destroy a business if it decides the business isn’t satisfying some arbitrary goal they set up which makes them a good person. We, like so many fans, were super excited for Avengers: Infinity War. The movies have been building up to it for nearly ten years or so. I guarantee lots of people saw this movie and its influence is huge. I’m all for good fun, but the end of the movie disturbed me. The fact that so many young people saw the end of this movie disturbs me.

Okay, so when Thanos comes on the scene he assumes the role of a death god—trying to bring balance to the universe. He is pure evil and his mercy is not mercy at all. It didn’t take long for the movie to parallel Thanos to the Judeo-Christian God. Thanos calls himself “I Am”. This is the name the Hebrew God (my God) goes by in the story of Moses and Jesus identifies Himself as part of the God-head when he says “I AM” in the garden before His crucifixion. So I was pretty ticked that this evil Thanos would be compared at all to my loving God who chose to die for the WHOLE world. The character of Thanos wants to destroy all and would never sacrifice Himself to save anyone, especially those who hate him. (Edit: This is my opinion from the latest movie. I haven’t read the comics. Thanks for the comment, though, Dear One.)

Yes, I know it’s a movie and fiction—but opinions are often formed by fiction. Media shapes us whether we think it does or not. We are willingly brainwashed daily—. every time we stare at a screen, hear a song, or look at a book. Well, I chose to not think too hard about Thanos’ being compared to GOD and I got back to watching the movie. After all, the Avengers have a lot of crazy spiritual stuff (Hello, Dr. Strange!). I’m not sure how much of it people pick up on. The attack on Jesus is subtle. But then the end of the movie happened—and I was floored.

Thanos wins. He gets the 6 infinity stones (Rabbit Trail: 6 the number of man) and with one snap of his fingers half the world’s population flakes away and disappears in a horrible way. Planes fall out of the sky and cars crash. It felt like I was seeing a messed up version of Left Behind. SpiderMan cries as his body starts to flake away. It was traumatic. The first thing I thought was, “Oh no they didn’t! They did not just take a hit on the rapture!”

Thankfully the rapture will be a happy event for all who experience it (me included unless I die first—really hoping to be raptured instead). It will happen so fast and it won’t look like our bodies are disintegrating. Christians will happily meet Jesus in the air and be given new bodies in the twinkling of an eye. Our God will be saving us from the wrath to come—not taking His wrath out on us. The world will experience crazy things during the Tribulation that follows, but God has been warning the world about this for thousands of years. Sadly, Satan has done everything he can to blind the world to the truth. Avengers reminded me of how brainwashed people will be. They will believe lies like “aliens did it” or “it was some new weapon”. The good news is that everyone who wants to be raptured can if they believe in Jesus. There is no reason to be left behind but unbelief. God is merciful and He wants everyone to be saved. He won’t force you though. If you’d rather have a world without God, well, that’s coming—stay behind. It’s not worth holding on to.

Okay, back to the movie. Maybe you’re thinking, “Amber, you’re taking this too far. It’s just a coincidence.” Well, now I point you to several secular entertainment and news sites that also saw the “rapture” connection in Avengers. I have no doubt that when the rapture happens, this movie scene will pop up in everyone’s mind. Anyways, read how the likes of USA Today and even Forbes describe the Avengers last scene.

Yes, Forbes—it will be “incalculable”. There’s a good reason the Rapture is called the Blessed Hope for believers. The world is going to be one crazy mess when we leave—even worse than before. We’re leaving just in time. You see, we’ve been in the way—in the way of the New World Order—in the way of complete immorality. The Church has held back the worst of the worst. Soon the light of Christ (which is us, the Church) will be taken out of this world and the darkness WILL be “incalculable”. The devastation of the Rapture is just the beginning—7 years of Tribulation come as soon as the Antichrist signs the peace treaty with Israel.

Christians don’t want to experience the Tribulation. No matter what you believe (pre-trib, post-trib, pre-wrath etc), be honest—you don’t really want to be here when everything goes down. Most who get saved during the Tribulation will be martyred—if they’re not killed in an apocalyptic event—earthquakes, plagues, and the such. The Antichrist will hunt down Tribulation Saints. People will starve if they don’t take his mark (the mark of the beast).

My point is—.the Rapture IS merciful. Do not fear for those raptured. We will be happy. Fear for yourself if you are left behind (and I pray you’re not). The Rapture won’t look anything like the Avengers’ rapture (except maybe in the devastation after), and Jesus is nothing like Thanos. Those who are raptured are the beloved of Jesus, all who have believed in Him and called on His name. You can be among Jesus’ beloved, the Bride of Christ.

If you say there is no reason to believe in theistic evolution, I will agree with you. I find theistic evolution the best way to keep my cherished beliefs without having to go to war against the facts. Theistic evolution is a compromise, certainly, but it's the only way to keep vital faith without resorting to creationism. Creationism is a far more investigative science then evolution. The reason, is because it sets out to prove something. Evolution ultimately makes up theories that appears to make sense in keeping with the theory.

i saw this movie last night and realized the connection and parallel it makes here. the whole gist of the movie is a computer generated actress that everyone has seen, talked to, heard of, but she didn't exist.

i am not asserting this as a substantial argument, it was a movie, but it is amazing that people can be pursuaded to believe in something when in fact it never existed.

Ah. Well here in Texas, YEC's are pretty common. Majority of my friends believe the book of Genesis to be literal, as do I. My country in general though? About the same... social media on the other hand. It seems to embolden the atheists since the risk of experiencing rightous retribution for showing dissent towards creation is lower. OEC's aren't as common but can still be an annoyance.

Referring to what I think should change? I'd still tart putting regulations on anti YEC speech. At first it would be little things like paying a fine if caught mocking or scoffing at the validity of Genesis. If that's not enough to quell the majority of anti creationist sentiment in society, I'd go with more extreme punishments. Community service, public humiliation, jail time, and even short prison sentences for the most notorious offenders.

Breatharianism is a most beautifull thing and is nothing like anorexia, that's like saying raw veganism is an eating disorder.

Breatharianism is a dietary progression from Raw veganism, Fruitarianism and liquidarianism that takes many, many, many years of conscious loving intent and cleansing to reach and when done properly has nothing to do with purposely restricting yourself from food, not feeling the need eat simply comes natural therefore there is no need to impose restrictions with the intention of causing suffering, etc.

It sure seems like one. I've never seen a group so rabidly defend their beliefs and ridicule others for not believing the way they do. Atheists have a few "catch phrases" that they all use, even though they put believers down for quoting the Bible. They're all following the guy who coined the phrases "flying spaghetti monster" and "pink unicorn" while believers follow God's word. How is that >really< different?

Don't give me that "because they believe in reality" bit. I believe that God is as real as you and I, so that one doesn't fly with me.

How can the average person believe in what science says or has proven? You have no knowledge if what scientists say is true or not, you just naturally believe them because it's science. Same goes with believing God. You can't prove that he/she/it is real, you simply have FAITH in your belief.

The probability of a human brain coming into existence is very low. Astronomically so, even given billions of years which most secular humanists believe in. The odds of the complexities of the human brain coming about by sheer chance are incredibly low.

However, the odds of over six billion of them coming into existence by random chance is far lower. Abysmally low.

Therefore, for the rational atheist, (Is that an oxymoron? True materialists don't actually believe in the mind....) it is far more likely that only you actually exist, and that everything else is an illusion. That's just so much more probable than that six billion plus brains came into existence randomly. Isn't it?

Evolution insinuates bestiality

The notion that apes are our ancestors insinuates the fact that humans and apes can interbreed. The ability to interbreed is part of the definition of a species. So scientists saying that we are part of the ape family means that we can interbreed. Offspring are produced by sexual relations between its parents. So saying humans come from apes presupposes bestiality. The theory of evolution is a classic example of the prurients mind of men. :(

If you can pick and choose which parts of the bible you want to believe, I think you are very very wrong. Science in the end is man trying to discover a God-made field. MARTIN LUTHER (1483-1546) was one of the greatest religious thinkers and reformers of all time. Founder of the Lutheran Church, his Protestant movement against the dominant Catholicism altered the course of European history. His fortitude in confronting and overcoming corruption within the Church hierarchy is legendary. He was a man of great intellect and unmatched moral courage.

But Luther had other opponents: the Jews. Judaism not only repudiated Christian theology by denying that Jesus was the true savior or Messiah, but it also took on an air of supreme arrogance–Jews as special, as different, as “chosen by God.” As such, Jews are unwilling to repent, to accept Christ, or to see the true meaning of the Old Testament; hence they slander and insult Jesus, Mary, and indeed all Christians. Jews, said Luther, harbor an intense and deeply-rooted hatred for all non-Jews, and thus are willing to use, abuse, and exploit people for their own ends.

For Luther, Jews are arrogant and stubborn liars. They are greedy materialists, ever covetous of Christian wealth and power. They are congenital misanthropes, the master haters of humanity. Clearly not, because if you had you’d know we completely agree that adult/child relationships are inherently harmful and we are completely opposed to them! If you truly cared you’d spend just a little time looking at our blogs.
You never know, you might rape someone in the future, anyone could, so we should keep everyone locked away from everyone. 80% of child molesters aren’t paedophiles so shall we keep everyone away from children?
We should keep people that are likely to cause harm to children away from children, not those that don’t pose any immediate risk. Anti-contact MAPs don’t pose more of a risk to children than teleiophiles do, we fully understand that children are not capable of consenting and we understand the harm adult/child relationships can cause.
