Michele Morrow #wingnut #psycho #conspiracy rawstory.com

A new report revealed Thursday that the North Carolina Republican nominee for state superintendent had repeatedly called for former President Barack Obama to be publicly executed for treason — and she's responding by doubling down on her demands.

"According to @KFILE and @CNN@CNNPolitics, Obama's drone attacks on hundreds of innocent Muslims in Yemen are not treasonous," wrote Michele Morrow on X. "The insanity of the media demonstrates the need to teach K-12 students real history and critical thinking skills. #ncpol"

A previous message had demanded "death to all traitors," and was followed by one saying she wanted to see Obama's execution broadcast on a pay-per-view channel.

Morrow, a registered nurse and a homeschooling advocate who would oversee schools if elected, has made a number of other inflammatory claims on social media, including that President Joe Biden should be executed for telling people to wear masks during the COVID-19 pandemic, and that China stationed thousands of troops in Canada to rig the 2020 election. She has also pushed QAnon conspiracy theories, including the idea that celebrities are consuming the blood of children to stay eternally youthful.

Ironically, given her reference to "innocent Muslims" in her call for Obama to be executed, Morrow has also promoted Islamophobic hate, demanding that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) "head back to Somalia" and suggesting Muslims should be banned from holding elected office in the United States.

Reparations from slavery and black victimization is about to be shoved down our throats for the most wretched holiday in America," said Gomez in the video. "BLM raised millions. And what did they do for Black lives? It is outrageous to see people ask you for reparations, even though they never went through slavery. These ungrateful people should be celebrating because they were born in the greatest nation to ever exist.

Alina Habba #fundie #conspiracy rawstory.com

Alina Habba told a group of nearly 90,000 prayer warriors Sunday that the many court cases of Donald Trump were the work of Satan, new video shows.

Habba appeared on the Arc of Grace Ministries’ live broadcast to detail her battle to save America’s justice system from what she described as a nefarious foe.

“There’s God’s plan and then there’s the demonic plan,” Habba explained to Amanda Grace and 87,000 viewers of the online prophet’s YouTube show. “We need to fight these people that are obviously coordinated and are trying to have a crusade of election interference.”

[…]

“We have cases lined up intentionally during election time, intentionally trying to get negative attention,” Habba said Sunday. “Their demonic plan is so obvious.” […] “The more demonic, the more Trump derangement syndrome there is in this world,” said Habba, “the more support there is for the Trump family.”

[…]

The Ark of Grace founder praised Habba for doing the lord's work, then led a prayer calling upon God to battle wickedness in the U.S. courtrooms where Trump faces criminal charges, civil allegations, and 14th Amendment challenges to his candidacy.

Rev. Greg Locke #fundie #ableist rawstory.com

Pastor Greg Locke is trying to deny a controversial remark he made over the weekend, suggesting that people in wheelchairs are disabled because of insufficient faith in God

"Churches in the American culture — you know one of the largest expenses we have in buildings?" said Locke, who runs the Global Vision Bible megachurch in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. "The amount of handicap parking and handicap accessibility that we have in our churches. Now I'm gonna make you mad for a minute and I don't really care. Why is it you pull up to a church that says they operate in faith, and you have fifty handicapped parking spots?"

"We just expect that people are going to leave church the same way they came to church," Locke continued. "We ought to start having some signs out there, that don't have, you know, like handicap accessibility, people in a wheelchair. We ought to start having signs of a wheelchair laying (sic) down and someone just walking up. Well, Pastor, I think you're being insensitive — I think you just don't have any faith is what I think!"

Rev. Matthew Trewhella #fundie #wingnut #psycho rawstory.com

In Wisconsin, far-right social conservative Dan Kelly is competing with liberal Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Janet Protasiewicz for a seat on the state's supreme court[…]
Now, Protasiewicz is calling Kelly out for making a virtual appearance at a Tuesday, March 21 event with the Rev. Matthew Trewhella[…]In 1990, Trewhella founded a Milwaukee-based group called Missionaries to the Unborn, and he has a long history of promoting violence

Back in 1994, Trewhella said, "I don't condemn people who use force to try to protect babies[…]If someone used force against him, would I condemn the person for stopping Mengele from all the atrocities he did?"[…]
Trewhella is a long-time supporter of the militia movement[…]At a 1994 event[…]Trewhella[…]said, "Our government wants to disarm us. What should we do? We should do what thousands of people across this nation are doing; we should be forming militias… Churches can form militia days and teach their men how to fight"[…]
Many years later, according to the the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Trewhella has not softened his rhetoric. At the March 21 event — which was held at the Calvary Assembly of God in Wilson, Wisconsin — told the crowd, "You cannot appease tyrants. You have to defeat them[…]If you keep accommodating yourself — guess what? — you'll be swallowed up by evil. It will be too late, and then, bloody revolution is the only option left"

Kelly, the Journal Sentinel's Molly Beck reports, was not physically present at the Calvary Assembly of God. But after Trewhella's speech, Kelly spoke virtually for 20 minutes

In 1993, according to Newsweek, Trewhella signed a statement describing the murder of David Gunn, an abortion doctor in Pensacola, Florida, as "justifiable homicide"

Major Utah GOP donor says 'the Jews' are using COVID-19 vaccines to 'euthanize the American people'

On Tuesday, Deseret News reported that Dave Bateman, the cofounder of tech company Entrata and a major financial backer of the Republican Party, mass-emailed several tech executives and elected officials claiming that COVID-19 vaccines are a Jewish plot to depopulate the world.

“I write this email knowing that many of you will think I’m crazy after reading it,” wrote Bateman. “I believe there is a sadistic effort underway to euthanize the American people. It’s obvious now. It’s undeniable, yet no one is doing anything. Everyone is discounting their own judgement and dismissing their intuition. I believe the Jews are behind this.”

Bateman didn't stop there, expounding on his ideas of how the Pope is a Jewish agent and there is a Jewish plot to create a one world government.

“For 300 years the Jews have been trying to infiltrate the Catholic Church and place a Jew covertly at the top,” Bateman continued. “It happened in 2013 with Pope Francis. I believe the pandemic and systematic extermination of billions of people will lead to an effort to consolidate all the countries in the world under a single flag with totalitarian rule. I know, it sounds bonkers. No one is reporting on it, but the Hasidic Jews in the US instituted a law for their people that they are not to be vaccinated for any reason.”

'We would be victorious': Madison Cawthorn speaks to conservative conference about next 'civil war'

Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) suggested on Tuesday that Christian conservatives would be "victorious" in the next civil war.

While speaking at a Turning Point USA conference, Cawthorn told young conservatives that it would "cost" them something if they wanted to "radically change our country and get back to our founding values."

"We, patriotic Americans, were born for such a time as this," he continued. "We're going to face some dark times as a nation. I genuinely believe that. I think we have an opportunity in the next four to six years to prevent kinetic force -- countryman on countryman -- from ever meeting."

"Although I have no doubt we would be victorious if that would ever happen," Cawthorn added. "But remember, that would be so immoral and wrong if we said, 'Hey, you know what? Let's just kick off a civil war,' and then we'll just go ahead and go to that point."

Instead of immediately starting a civil war, Cawthorn said that conservatives need to stop "playing this defensive game."

"It's time for us to stop being sheep and to stand up and be lions!" he shouted. "The radical left should be terrified of who we are. The radical left should be terrified of what we are going to do."

Fox News hosts discuss how to ban 'childless' liberals from voting

...

The idea was recently floated by Ohio Republican Senate candidate J.D. Vance.

"Let's give votes to all children in this country, but let's give control over those votes to the parents of the children," Vance told a conference ...

The hosts of Fox & Friends discussed the merits of the idea that the "childless left" should not be able to vote.

"I think it's an interesting idea," host Will Cain said. "... He's saying childless leaders are making decisions that are short-term in mind, not focused on the long-term future health of this country because they don't have a stake in the game. Parents have a stake in the game, they have children so give parents a bigger say."

...

"I don't know about that solution … ," Campos-Duffy said. "But I will say that I agree with the premise of it, that it is absolutely true that people like [Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez], Pete Buttigieg -- you can name the left-wing politicians, people who think that we should legalize marijuana because they don't have kids and they don't really have a stake in what that looks like."

...

"That is looking at it through the lens of the actual solution, which is the family unit," co-host Pete Hegseth agreed. "So many ills that we have in our society stem from that breakdown. ... [It's] not a feasible policy but what it is in principle is a reflection of the fact that -- what Ronald Reagan said, freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction."

"And if you're Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez -- our favorite comrade -- and you've said the world is going to end in 12 years, what do you care? ... It's this idea of absolute pessimism that the world's going to end and as a result, we're the problem and don't have kids."

According to Hegseth, a large family is "a reflection of optimism."

"Do you want to pass AOC's America off to America or J.D. Vance's?" Campos-Duffy asked. "American Marxists want to tear down the American family."

Philip Daniel Mills is behind bars Sunday after setting a house on fire for Jesus, reported KTSM News.

Like the story of Cain and Abel, the 40-year-old man set fire to an El Paso home on the West Side, killing his own brother.

"An affidavit written by an EPPD detective says Mills allegedly admitted to setting the house on fire. And, in a recorded statement, claimed to have used gasoline from a weed eater to fuel the fire," said the report.
[...]
"The affidavit claims Mills caused the fire because he was upset with his brother and mother because they did not follow the Bible," said the report. "The document states Mills intentionally broke a television in the living room, and threatened to burn the house down."

"He intentionally broke the television located in the living room because he needed to 'purge the home from 'evil," Mills allegedly told police. "The defendant stated that he left the residence and allowed his mother to be in a 'happy place' throughout the day and waited for both his mother and brother to go to bed, before starting the fire."
[...]
"The defendant then laughed and advised the investigators that he was shocked that both his mother and brother did not perish and called it a 'failed attempt,'" the documents showed.

Anti-maskers #quack #psycho rawstory.com

An anti-mask rally outside a California cancer treatment center turned violent on Thursday, with a patient who confronted the protesters saying she was sprayed with bear mace and punched repeatedly in her surgery scars.

The incident occurred outside the Cedars-Sinai Breast Health Services building in Hollywood, where dozens of anti-maskers with signs and a megaphone gathered to protest the clinic's mask requirement, harassing doctors and patients. Kate Burns, a breast-cancer patient, approached the protesters and asked them to leave, according to video posted online.

"I get treated here, get the f*ck away," Burns said. When one of the protesters asked why she was angry, Burns responded "Because I've just gone through f*cking breast cancer, and you motherf*ckers are here."

When one of the anti-maskers told Burns the protest had "nothing to do with" her, she responded: "You are protesting a breast cancer f*cking center. It has everything to do with me and my community. Do you know anything about chemotherapy? Do you know what happens to the immune system?"

Protesters then asked Burns if she was familiar with the Civil Rights Act. "Get on the right side of history. You've got a lot of anger you need to release. It's a very dangerous emotion," one man told her. After more anti-maskers and some anti-fascist counterprotesters arrived, the scene turned violent. Video shows Burns getting punched and shoved by a woman with a megaphone.

The Georgia Republican said that she opposed so-called "gain of function" research on viruses.

"That's a bioweapon," she charged. "So we need to be very clear about what was the intent of COVID-19 and these viruses that they experiment with like some sort of Dr. Frankenstein experiment."

"I don't buy it because I don't believe in evolution," the congresswoman said. "I don't believe in that type of so-called science. I don't believe in evolution. I believe in God."

Greene added: "These viruses were not making people sick until they created them and made them into weaponized viruses to be able to attach to our cells and make us sick. This has caused so many people to die all over the world."

Yaeger's email repeated debunked claims of massive voter fraud and warned that "American voters will now be forced to change our government officials with bullets instead of ballots."

The threatening email also "predicts" that the "mass execution" of public officials will begin "very soon" unless Trump is given a second term as president.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, Yaeger could face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for the threat if he is really the person who sent the email.

“You know, my life is in service and honor to the Lord Jesus Christ,” Ellis said. “And so whatever anybody else says really doesn’t bother me. During an interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, Nunes railed at Democrats for supporting former special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

“I think the question is, does Mueller know where Mueller is?” Nunes said, suggesting that the former special counsel was not well informed about the Russia investigation.

“This was somebody who was put up as an avatar to give credibility to this investigation that was phony from the beginning,” the California Republican continued. “I’m not sure he knows what the hell is going on.”

Nunes added: “Look, the Democratic Party, it’s very odd for a party that seems to be against white people and always talking about racism, they sure like to prop up these avatar old white dudes. They have one running for president right now who’s hiding in his basement.”

Bartiromo declined to press Nunes about his assertion that Democrats are “against white people” and instead moved on to a question about the alleged “censorship” of conservatives on social media.

James Reidnauer and Brent van Besien #racist rawstory.com

A pair of white Florida men have been arrested after shooting at and shouting racial slurs at two biracial children — and claimed that they did so because they thought the kids were on meth.

Orlando’s WFTV reported that James Reidnauer and Brent van Besien were arrested in the city of Leesburg on hate crime charges after shooting at the 16 and 12-year-old brother and sister on March 17.

According to the report, the men confronted the children on a trail owned by a nearby church as they were walking to a convenience store to buy candy.

“Deputies said Reidnauer and van Besien fired at least two shots — one near the girl’s foot and one in the air — before shouting slurs at the biracial children,” WFTV reported, adding that both were uninjured and able to run home.

According to police, the men said they shot at the children because they thought they were, the Orlando Sentinel reported, “meth heads.”

In an interview with local news, Michelle Sabb, the kids’ mother, said she was grateful they made it home unscathed.

“I mean, Trayvon [Martin] — he didn’t make it home,” Sabb said. “What if my son wouldn’t have made it home?”

In 2016, Lake County’s Daily Commercial newspaper reported that van Besien was arrested on domestic violence and armed robbery charges.

A 2017 Lake County booking photo of van Besien shows him with multiple tattoos, including one that appears to be an “Iron Cross,” a German military symbol that according to the Anti-Defamation League later became associated with Nazi Germany.

“After World War II, the medal was discontinued but neo-Nazis and other white supremacists subsequently adopted it as a hate symbol and it has been a commonly-used hate symbol ever since,” the ADL noted.

"Scott", a C-SPAN caller #fundie rawstory.com

A C-SPAN caller on Wednesday suggested that President Donald Trump’s partial government shutdown was tied to the second coming of Jesus Christ.

C-SPAN host John McArdle spoke to a New York man named Scott who called in on Washington Journal‘s line for supporters of the government shutdown.

“I don’t really have a solution,” Scott began. “But I am in support of it because I’m waiting for the second coming. We just celebrated the first coming of Jesus. But Jesus is coming back.”

“And as crazy as the government is, it’s getting us closer,” Scott added. “Now the solution to having a bill pay for the wall, Trump can do this by going after every business in America that got a tax break if they have any ties to any sister/baby companies off of them that have hired any illegal aliens in the past.”

The caller argued that Trump could “take that tax break back” and “build us a golden wall across the Mexican and Canadian border.”

“I want it shutdown because I can’t wait for when Jesus comes back and gets the righteous real people and takes them to heaven,” Scott opined. “And then we have a real big mess on this Earth.”

“Got your point, Scott,” McArdle said as he cut off the caller.

John Daniel Carothers #racist rawstory.com

A Tennessee man allegedly wrote a jailhouse letter to a white supremacist group admitting he burned a black man alive — and cited the Bible as one of his influences.

Nashville’s WTVF reported Monday that John Daniel Carothers, accused of murdering his black halfway house roommate Robert Miller in March, claimed the Bible is “for white people” and referenced the religious text in his alleged confession letter.

“I believe the Bible is about white people and for white people,” Carothers’ jailhouse letter read. “I am in the Rutherford County Jail for burning a black man I set on fire with lighter fluid poured on his head.”

After the sheriff’s department found the suspect’s apparent confession letter in the outgoing mail, prosecutors are now considering upping the charges against him using a hate crime “enhancement.”

WTVF noted that Tennessee does not have a specific hate crime statute, but that the U.S. Department of Justice may intervene — a move that could result in federal hate crime charges.

The report did not specify which white supremacist group Carothers reportedly addressed the letter to.

Courtland Sykes #sexist rawstory.com

Republican U.S. Senate candidate for Missouri Courtland Sykes blasted “women’s rights” this week.

In a statement posted to Facebook on Tuesday, Sykes said that he had been asked if he “supports women’s rights.”

“I want to come home to a home cooked dinner every night at six,” Sykes said, referring to demands he makes of his girlfriend. “One that she fixes and one that I expect one day to have daughters learn to fix after they become traditional homemakers and family wives.”

According to Sykes, feminists push an agenda that they “made up to suit their own nasty snake-filled heads.”

The candidate said that he hoped his daughters do not grow up to be “career obsessed banshees who forgo home life and children and the happiness of family to become nail-biting manophobic hell-bent feminist she devils who shriek from the top of a thousand tall buildings they are [SIC] think they could have leaped in a single bound — had men not been ‘suppressing them.’ It’s just nuts.”

Sykes ended his rant by insisting that he supports women’s rights “but not the kind that has suppressed natural womanhood for five long decades.”

“But good news,” he concluded. “They’re finished. Ask Hillary.”

An Irish priest has put out an urgent call for backup to help with the growing demand for exorcisms in the country, according to reports.

“It’s only in recent years that the demand [for exorcisms] has risen exponentially,” Father Pat Collins said, adding that anyone who doesn’t see the need for more exorcists is “out of touch with reality.” Collins wrote an open letter to Irish Bishops asking them to begin training more priests to deal with exorcisms, and cited the International Association of Exorcists' belief that demonic activity has increased substantially in recent years.

Each Catholic diocese in Ireland is required to have a trained exorcist who can identify whether a person is suffering from mental illness or has been possessed.

Collins has been speaking out about the activities of what he has called “the evil one” for years. He is widely considered Ireland’s most prominent exorcist, and he has also advocated for the church to take a more active role in demon hunting.

Mark Taylor #fundie rawstory.com

Self-styled evangelical Christian “prophet” Mark Taylor bragged that his prayers caused Hillary Clinton to collapse from pneumonia during the 2016 presidential campaign, Right Wing Watch reported Wednesday.

Taylor has never been to Bible school or seminary, but the retired firefighter claims the Lord told him in 2011 that Donald Trump would be elected president.

Appearing on the “Omega Man Radio” show, Taylor claimed he led a nationwide prayer call asking God to “remove all those that are corrupt in our government and in leadership across this country, at every level of government.”

“I hung up the phone at 9:17. Twenty minutes later, Hilary Clinton collapsed for the entire world to see,” Taylor claimed.

“Now that was prophetic on a couple of different accounts: One, that shows you the power and authority we have with 10,000 people in agreement, with one heart, one mind and one accord in unity — The second thing it was prophetic for, when she fell, that was a prophetic sign that the Clinton machine and all those attached to it were going to collapse,” Taylor continued.

Taylor is the author of The Trump Prophecies: The Astonishing True Story of the Man Who Saw Tomorrow— and What He Says Is Coming Next.

In December, Taylor foretold that President Trump will cure cancer and Alzheimers, but not until his second term.

In August, Taylor had an epiphany about a global conspiracy to change voters’ DNA in a plot to manufacture opposition to President Trump.

“I believe what happened on November 8 is the enemy has literally sent out a frequency,” Taylor said, “and it agitated and took control, basically, of those who have their DNA that was turned over to the enemy. That’s what’s happening. The Illuminati, the Freemasons, all these people, their main goal is to change the DNA of man and they’re doing it through these frequencies.”

Taylor believes broadcasting audio at 440 Hz “changes your DNA, which is the goal of the Freemasons, the Illuminati; they want you part of that Illuminati bloodline.”

“I think maybe Trump is here to give us time to get ready, because all hell is going to break loose,” Bakker suggested.

“We’re not going to have the anti-Christ to show up to get the sign of the mark of our beast on our forehead, it won’t happen without hunger,” he claimed.

“Hunger is going to be the main thing. You don’t get it, most people don’t want to get it, but that’s why I’m so obsessed with you all being prepared,” he claimed.

Bakker resigned from his Assemblies of God ministries after facing accusations of drugging and raping an employee. He was convicted of fraud and imprisoned.

Pastor Frank Raddish #fundie rawstory.com

A South Carolina preacher is continuing to support Republican senate nominee Roy Moore in Alabama, an apparent reversal of his previously claimed focus on wanting to protect children from sexual predators.

Pastor Franklin Raddish of the Capitol Hill Independent Baptist Ministries has dismissed recent allegations of powerful men as attacks that are part of a so-called “war on men,” AL.com reports.

“More women are sexual predators than men,” Rev. Raddish claimed.

“Women are chasing young boys up and down the road, but we don’t hear about that because it’s not PC,” Rev. Raddish alleged.

In 2004, Rev. Raddish organized a protest at the Rhea County Courthouse in Dayton Tennessee in 2004, using the site of the Scopes Monkey Trial to highlight his opposition to pedophilia to rationalize his anti-LGBT bigotry.

“These people aren’t the good neighbor next door, they’re out to target young children. They must recruit their heritage,” Rev. Raddish charged. “As many of them will die from AIDS, the only way they can keep their numbers is to recruit. Pedophiles and men dressing like ladies, their objective is recruitment of children.”

“The pedophiles will be here tomorrow. The men who dress like women will be here,” Rev. Raddish worried. “The world wants to educate our children to be tolerant of homosexuals. The homosexuals can’t grow in number unless they recruit. How do they recruit? They sodomize. That’s the only way.”

Multiple women have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct from Moore that targeted high school girls when he was a 30-year-old assistant district attorney. Moore has denied the allegations.

Alex Jones #conspiracy rawstory.com

Alex Jones’ latest installment of his ‘InfoWars’ conspiracy and commentary, the host seemed to have been possessed with rage over a “mostly false” story about a drag queen in a demon outfit reading to children.

The fusillade of Jones outrage accused liberals of attempting to sexualize children with volunteers reading books at public libraries, according to Right Wing Watch. Jones became so unhinged he accused drag queens of being pedophiles who “have their way with children” in “space alien” and “demon goblin” outfits, referring to the costumes drag queens wear. He also included something about baby giraffes.

“Imagine if someone in a demon outfit, showed up next to a baby giraffe and said, ‘Hi, I’m a demon. Be inclusive. Don’t be mean to me. Let me wear demon horns and come up and look like a complete alien from another planet,’” the torrent of rage continued.

“They dress up like space aliens all over the United States of America and all over the world,” Jones continued. “In horrible demon psychopath outfits that make Pennywise look beautiful. And they show up and they have their way with children, in demon outfits. I mean, if you’ve got men that look like 400-pound goblin demons with your children, there’s nothing you won’t put up with.”

The Long Beach public library has a Drag Queen Story Hour for any parents interested in bringing their children. It’s not a mandatory activity, nor were there demonic teachings involved, according to Snopes.

“There isn’t a species on the planet that would let something that looks like a space alien get up close to its kids,” Jones shouted, ignoring the characters dressed up at theme parks. “But only in America does it happen and I’m sick of it.”

“I’m tired of it right now! I can’t handle it anymore!” Jones screamed.

He then stood and picked up his chair, presumably throwing it into his camera operators and staff, however, the video quickly cuts to his logo.

Jones lost primary custody of his children in a very public court battle in which his online persona was used as an example that he was unfit to be a parent.

According to Washington, D.C.’s WJLA news station, Birkl was arrested for leaving a note on the door of a church in Dumfries, Virginia last month that read “Now THATS WHiTE POWER, DAY of THe Rope IS Coming [sic].” Along with the epithet were clippings from KKK pamphlets, a photo of a Confederate flag and a cutout from a TIME magazine cover illustration of President Donald Trump in a white klan hood.

Rachel and Joshua Piland #fundie rawstory.com

A couple in Lansing, Michigan were warned by their midwife that their newborn daughter Abigail looked jaundiced and appeared to need medical care. Instead of seeking treatment, they ignored the problem on religious grounds, resulting in their baby’s death.

According to Hemant Mehta at Patheos’ “The Friendly Atheist,” the midwife for Rachel and Joshua Piland told them their baby could suffer brain damage — to which Rachel responded “God makes no mistakes.”

“Days later,” Mehta wrote, “Abigail was dead.”

According to the Detroit Free Press, the newborn suffered from “unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia and kernicterus,” treatable jaundice-related issues.

“Abigail never saw a doctor when blood was coming out of her mouth, she wasn’t eating, or her skin became further discolored,” Mehta continued.

The Pilands have been charged with involuntary manslaughter, and could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

Delta County Joint School District No. 50 #fundie rawstory.com

An atheist teenager is suing her former high school and alleging that its teachers intentionally flunked her due to her views on religion — and ruined her chances of getting into the college of her choice.

The Denver Post reports that Cidney Fisk this week filed a lawsuit against the Delta County Joint School District No. 50 by claiming that her Christian teachers sabotaged her chances of getting into college because she criticized them for allegedly using their classes to spread their religious views.

Specifically, the Denver Post reports that the lawsuit claims that “her opposition to teachers, school board members and administrators, who she claims espoused religious views in school settings and meetings put her at odds with them.” As an example, the lawsuit cites a school board member who “once stated her ‘Christian’ belief at a school board meeting that ‘transgender students should be castrated.'”

What’s more, the lawsuit alleges that a school counselor told her that she could lose her positions in student government organizations — and even jeopardize potential college scholarships — if she continued her outspoken activism.

The lawsuit also claims that school officials barred her from joining the National Honor Society even though her 4.1 grade point average entering her senior year easily qualified her for joining the group. Additionally, school officials gave her bad reviews that hurt her chances of getting into two colleges, the suit alleges.

“Defendants retaliated upon plaintiff Fisk, threatened, punished and censored her, for expressing her opinions on religion, abortion, sex education, and drug education in an attempt to chill, deter and restrict (her) from freely expressing her opinions,” the suit claims.

Kenny Havard #fundie rawstory.com

Louisiana state Rep. Kenny Havard (R) on Monday called for the state to end tax subsidies for the Saints NFL team because some players have refused to stand for the national anthem.

In a statement on Monday, Havard asserted that taxpayers should not have to “subsidize” the protests.

“The very reason they have the privilege and opportunity to play professional football while being paid millions is because someone in uniform died protecting their right to do so,” he opined. “It’s a disgrace to the men and women of this nation who have sacrificed so much.”

According to Havard, “Disrespecting our national anthem and flag in the name of social justice is the highest form of hypocrisy.”

“It is time for taxpayers to quit subsidizing protest on big boy playgrounds,” he insisted. “I believe in the right to protest but not at a taxpayer subsidized sporting event.”

A stadium lease agreement is expected to provide the New Orleans Saints franchise more than $400 million in subsidies by 2025.

“Do it on your own time,” the lawmaker concluded.

George Brown #sexist rawstory.com

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol official reportedly told women that the best way not to get raped by an officer was to “follow the law.”

In recent months, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer and an Oklahoma City Police officer have been accused of repeatedly raping women, often during traffic stops.

After a Tulsa County sheriff’s deputy was arrested last week for sexually assaulting a woman while responding to a 911 call, Tulsa NBC News affiliate KJRH decided to ask the Oklahoma Highway Patrol how to stay safe during a traffic stop.

The department noted that troopers should always be in uniform, and that women were allowed to keep their car door locked, and to speak with officers through a cracked window. A trooper should rarely ask a person to come back to the patrol car, OHP advised.

“There are certain situations where we do that,” Capt. George Brown told KJRH. “If someone doesn’t have a driver’s license on their person. We asked for an ID or driver’s licence, if they can’t provide it, rather than stand outside the car writing [a ticket], which puts us in a bad location, we may ask a female back to the car so we can get her information.”

The KJRH anchor said that Brown concluded with this advice: “The captain says anything that happens inside a troopers car is videotaped, and he says that supervisors do review those tapes.”

“He says the best tip that he can give is to follow the law in the first place so you don’t get pulled over,” the anchor added.

Brown told KWTV that OHP was working to regain the public’s trust.

“There are entirely more good officers than there are the few bad apples that exist out there, and we want people to know that,” he explained. “We have a lot of good troopers, a lot of good officers out there doing a lot of good things daily, and we want to continue that and have the public continue their trust in us.”

Jason Jorjani #racist rawstory.com

Though many members of the alt-right claim to not be racists or white supremacists, videos recorded by an infiltrator among their ranks proves otherwise.

Patrik Hermansson, a 25-year-old Swede, went undercover to infiltrate the alt-right, creating a fake identity that led him to meetings with some of the group’s leaders.

As video Hermansson provided to the New York Times shows, he got one of the group’s highest-ranking members — Alt-Right Corporation board member Jason Reza Jorjani — to admit his “final solution” for minorities.

“It’s gonna end with the expulsion of the majority of the migrants, including [Muslim] citizens,” Jorjani told an undercover Hermansson at a pub near the Empire State Building in New York City. “It’s gonna end with concentration camps and expulsions and war at the cost of a few hundred million people.”

“We will have a Europe, in 2050, where the bank notes have Adolf Hitler, Napoleon Bonaparte, Alexander the Great,” he continued. “And Hitler will be seen like that: like Napoleon, like Alexander, not like some weird monster who is unique in his own category — no, he is just going to be seen as a great European leader.”

Jorjani also claimed to have connections within the Trump administration, and to even have spoken to the president himself.

“The scary thing about the Alt Right Corp and Jason Jorjani is that they’re building a media empire,” Hermansson said at the beginning of the video, citing the AltRight.com website Jorjani runs with the help of notorious figures like Richard Spencer.

Jeff Mateer #fundie #homophobia rawstory.com

Jeff Mateer, who has been nominated by President Donald Trump for a federal judgeship, advocated debunked “conversion therapy” for LGBT people and called transgender children part of “Satan’s plan.”

A CNN investigation found that Mateer came under fire from LGBT groups while working as general counsel for a conservative organization known as the Liberty Institute.

According to CNN, the attorney discussed transgender children in a 2015 speech titled “The Church and Homosexuality.”

“In Colorado, a public school has been sued because a first grader and I forget the sex, she’s a girl who thinks she’s a boy or a boy who thinks she’s a girl, it’s probably that, a boy who thinks she’s a girl,” Mateer was quoted as saying. “And the school said, ‘Well, she’s not using the girl’s restroom.’ And so she has now sued to have a right to go in. Now, I submit to you, a parent of three children who are now young adults, a first grader really knows what their sexual identity? I mean it just really shows you how Satan’s plan is working and the destruction that’s going on.”

Mateer went on to call same-sex marriage “disgusting.”

“I’ve learned words I didn’t know. I mean, other than my assistants here, have you ever heard the word ‘throuple’?” he opined. ‘Throuple’ so that’s three people coming together of different sexes, maybe mixed sexes. Them coming together. There are people who marry themselves. Somebody wanted to marry a tree. People marrying their pets. It’s just like … you know, you read the New Testament and you read about all the things and you think, ‘Oh, that’s not going on in our community.’ Oh yes it is. We’re back to that time where debauchery rules.”

That same year, Mateer complained about states banning so-called conversion therapy for LGBT people.

“[T]hat’s been outlawed in at least two states and then in some local areas. So they’re invading that area,” he lamented.

Mark Draper #racist rawstory.com

An Arizona man has been charged with a hate crime after yelling racist slurs at his former black neighbor in Utah before attacking the man and his 7-year-old son with a stun cane that packs a million volt charge.

According to KSTU, a Utah grand jury returned an indictment against Mark Draper, 58, for the assault that occurred in November of 2016 in Draper, Utah.

The indictment states Porter allegedly called his African-American neighbor a “n*gger” before attacking the man with what is described as a “stun cane.”

“The defendant yelled ‘n*gger,’ said get out of here to [Victim] and [Victim’s] seven-year-old son, and used a stun cane (a Zap Cane) to assault [Victim], resulting in bodily injury,” the indictment charges

The report states the “Zap Cane” is a cane that contains a stun gun capable of delivering “one million volts” and is classified as a “dangerous weapon.”

Porter was taken into custody in Arizona where he now resides, and has been charged with one count of interference with housing which is a hate crime.

If convicted, the Arizona man faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Lisa Kauffman #sexist rawstory.com

A sentencing hearing in Missoula County, Montana, grew heated this week when the defense lawyer for 26-year-old defendant Justin Griffith accused his victims — including one 13-year-old girl — of acting as “temptresses.”

The Missoulian reports that defense attorney Lisa Kauffman told Missoula County District Court Judge Robert Deschamps this week that a 13-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by Griffith looked much older than her age would indicate.

“She looks and acts like she’s 18 years old,” Kaufman said during the hearing. “You should see the pictures of her and the hair and the makeup.”

Griffith pleaded guilty to felony sexual assault earlier this year for having sex with a 13-year-old who was a patient at a teenage addiction recovery center where Griffith was an employee. A second girl at the facility also alleged that Griffith had raped her, although those charges were dropped as part of Griffith’s guilty plea.

During one particularly heated exchange with deputy county attorney Brian Lowney during the sentencing hearing, Kaufman argued that Griffith was simply not trained to deal with young girls at the treatment facility that may have tried to seduce him.

“It is hardly a training issue not to have sex with a 13-year-old resident,” Lowney shot back.

Judge Dechamps agreed with Lowney’s reasoning, and pointed out that Griffith’s long history of sexual encounters showed he wasn’t just some naive, inexperienced young man.

“He’s been around the block and he knows the score,” the judge said.

“So was she,” Kauffman responded.

During a subsequent recess, Kauffman then asked Lowney if he’d ever considered the roles that Griffith’s victims had played in their own assaults.

“How about victims as temptresses, what do you think about that?” she asked.

The 13-year-old victim’s mother, who was present at the hearing, objected to having her daughter described that way, and Kauffman quickly apologized.

Unnamed juror and Georgia courts #racist rawstory.com

The state of Georgia is set to execute a black man convicted of murder this month, despite the fact that one of the jurors in his trial admitted to voting for the death penalty if defendants were “n*ggers.”

Via anti-death penalty activist Sister Helen Prejean, Georgia has scheduled 59-year-old Keith Leroy Tharpe’s execution for September 26, almost 27 years to the day after he murdered his sister-in-law and attempted to kidnap his wife after she had left him one month earlier.

As recounted by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Tharpe’s attorneys have argued that his death sentence should be thrown out because one juror in the trial showed extreme racial prejudice toward him.

Specifically, the juror told lawyers after the trial had ended that he believed there were two type of African Americans: “Good black folks” and “n*ggers.” The juror claimed that he saw Tharpe as an example of the latter, although he said the family of Tharpe’s victim was an example of “good” black people.

In fact, the juror said that if Tharpe’s victim’s family “had been the type Tharpe is, then picking between life or death for Tharpe wouldn’t have mattered as much.”

Tharpe’s attorneys have tried to use this juror’s account to reopen his case, but so far courts have refused. While there doesn’t seem to be any question about Tharpe’s guilt, there is question over whether racial prejudice was responsible for the jury handing down a sentence that would not have been given to a white man convicted of the same crime.

Robert Belt #fundie rawstory.com

An off-duty West Virginia deputy allegedly announced “f*ggots will burn in hell” after an openly gay high school student boarded the bus he was driving.

Clay County sheriff’s deputy Robert Belt was dressed in full uniform when he made comments Sept. 5 over the school bus intercom as the student boarded and sat down, according to a Facebook post by the Nelson County (West Virginia) Democratic Organization.

“No f*ggot activity will be permitted on this bus,” Belt said, according to witnesses. “In my Bible it states that ‘f*ggots will burn in hell,’ and I will not condone it.”

A parent heard about the alleged comments Friday and reported the deputy to the Clay County High School vice principal, Alan Tanner, who then notified the director of transportation.

The school superintendent confirmed the incident was under internal investigation but declined to comment further, reported WSAZ-TV.

“All of our employees are expected to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment for all of our students,” said Joe Paxton, superintendent of Clay County schools. “As the Employee Code of Conduct mandates, the school system expects all of our employees to exhibit professional behavior by showing positive examples of communication, fairness, and language. Also, as required in the Code of Conduct, the school system expects all of our employees to maintain a safe and healthy environment, free from harassment, intimidation, bullying, and free from bias and discrimination.”

Three students have given statements to the school counselor about the incident, according to the Democratic group’s Facebook post.

Belt continues to drive a school bus part-time and work full-time as a deputy, the social media post said.

He ran unsuccessfully for Clay County sheriff last year, and he was named in a civil rights lawsuit eight years ago.

A Clay County man accused Belt of engaging in a harassment campaign after he asked the deputy to remove his boots when he came to pick up some items belonging to a mutual relative.

“‘F*ck you and your white carpet,'” Belt told the man, according to the federal civil rights suit.

The suit claims Belt then beat the man with a flashlight, and he says the deputy unlawfully stopped him multiple times and physically assaulted him over a period of months.

It’s not clear how that 2009 suit was eventually resolved.

"crude, backwards and brutalistic view of the world?" more presumptuous insults from the pseudo-liberals really on the religious-right... can't believe the assaults upon me for expressing a viewpoint that asserts human sexual liberation!

ahem, the opposite. every 10 years since 1970 there's been this group has done videotaped 1-week live-in that includes in-depth interviews of all living in the household. a key focus has always been how much displayed affection, love there is in the average american household. guess what; wanna talk brutality? shows of affection have nearly disappeared here. consequently, as this lack of birthright loving nurture increases, so does youthful & all others frustration, violence, wars, torture and the recruiters find em easier & easier prey.

as i've written til my fingers ache, my 1st granting of ENTIRELY CONSCIOUS CONSENT TO HAVE SEX WAS WHEN I WAS ALMOST 12 AND HE WAS MY CRUSH OF 15. now he'd be put away & have his life ruined for that afternoon in 1966 and i'd likely be hauled off for 'professional help' in some psych-pharma hell! affectioinate sex is plainly that; rape is plainly that.

freud didn't hit the bull's eye when wrote "when sex is suppressed the result is civilization.' no, the opposite. when sex is suppressed (think moses...), love & affection also suffer and the result is that CIVILIZATION BECOMES IMPOSSIBLE AND IS REPLACED BY EVIL EMPIRES OF OPPRESSION AND INCREASINGLY DEALY WARS, dur.

the native world as seen through the pens of the early, pre-colonization native world showed naked, loving people who had open nudity, sex, communal shamanic-animist rituals of orgiastic sorts worldwide, with, of course, exceptions proved the rule. captain cook was indeed eaten by cannibals but he stated that having met many cultures in the pacific, "they are mostly so gentle they flee from even the violence of our european tongues!"

and early studies, of pacific, for example by marchand-marquesas or the later margaret mead, showed upwards of 1500 sexual events by adulthood... compared with just a dozen at age 21 in the US, 20 if not in college. women got it better what with sexual peak 14-28; boys is over by 18... never be that great again and all they got was the love of their own hands! here in new york the insane 'age of consent' is now 18 and kids can & do go to jail for defying this anti-nature, anti-sex laws! no frigging wonder teen suicide has soared 7x since 1950... and still largely a gay problem. most typical suicide note? "can't get any love."

more rage directed at such as michael jackson, none of whose boys turned on him even when money, DA, parents raged at them to, ever testified against him.... while a million iraqi children died w/no such protest in gulfwar, 12-year embargo, iraq war. the ever-more brutal west shouts 'yahooooo, bomb's away on the innocents!'

the intent in suppressing youth's sex or the mingling of the ages has never had anything to do with making life better for anyone but a shriveled up, vile & contemptuous evil religion's and empires dictatorship over the soul, heart, groin.

The whole 'pedophile' thing has been hysterically blown out of rational proportion... in arkansas 1980s still could mary a 12 year old boy or girl. 1900 england average age of marriage, as with most of human history, girls 13, boys 15. native peoples, unlike the antisexual west since moses, john the baptist and mohammed... lived naked; had sex in public; shamanic-animist rituals included live communal sex to which none were excluded... these largely extremely non-violent societies (direct result of sex-love-affection nurtured as birthright...) had no rape as unnecessary; little violencec; hardly any wars at all. consider that ben & jefferson marveled the natives prior to the rabid white euro-'christians' would wipe them all out had peace by treaty 6-800 years from mississippi east and gulf to the arctic... us? can't have peace for a day evereverever.

the world's greatest historians, will&ariel durant, met when he was 28, she 14 and him her history teach; worked together for 70 years. today? jail for will durant! my dad first had sex w/me mum when he 39, she 17. jail, dad, you pervert! painter georgia o'keefe had the romance of heer life in her late 70s-80s and he was 20 when it began. robbing the cradle?

nature really does not make youth so beautiful so as to entrap elders with eyes and drives. rape is rape and is invariably brutal, obvious. i gave consent, YES I GAVE MY CONSCIOUS CONSENT TO HAVE SEX when i was almost 12 with a boy of 15. when whole small town found out, mom told me she was gonna sue him for statutory rape. i told her i'd neever testify. she said she'd do it anyway and i said i'd runa away. then i told her i'd wanted to do it and that, anyway, was more fun thatn watching another beverly hillbillies rerun.

sex is good. violence is bad. the difference is very clear.

Inappropriate over-reaction to a storm in a teacup. The witch-hunt mentality probably arose as the result of a conservative American-style Christian upbringing that views all expression of sexuality as "evil", regardless of the consequences for the actors and any of their recipients.

People who download child porn are not necessarily the ones who act on it. It could have been a useful release for a guy with feelings he needed to contain in the real world. I am repulsed by people who indulge pornographic fantasies but it is their life, not mine. If they are doing no harm to others, or to themselves, then I have no right to use my repulsion to condemn or punish them. That is a moral maturational level that this Federal Agent has apparently not yet reached.

The acts of this School Principle are far less serious that the rampant active sex abuse of children by Catholic clergy, and the less frequent, but also egregious, sexual exploitation of parishioners by non-Catholic clergy.

In this particular case there appears to be no evidence that the legally tortured Principal did anything more than just look at electronic images. Unless such evidence has been repressed (and why would the media want to suppress such salacious material?) there did not seem to be any people harmed by what was
happening - until this self-righteous authoritarian started formal legal proceedings. It was =that= act that caused an avalanche of damage. It smashed friendships, broke up a marriage, deprived children of a father, caused irreparable damage to the mental well-being of everyone in that family, deprived a school of its Principle, and probably unnecessarily upset a lot of the kids at that school and their parents. If we look at the results, then this rigid FBI agent is the real criminal, He is the one causing all the harm.

In the higher stages of moral development people recognize that it is the consequences of actions that make them "moral" or "immoral". If the only thing harmed is the transgression of some asserted set of "absolute morals" on which there has never been anything close to a universal consensus, or the sensibilities of some cult-specific version of a supernatural being for which there is even less valid evidence, then we are looking at the operation of moral reasoning that is at the immature end of the normal moral maturational ladder.

Sam McLure #fundie rawstory.com

A man vying for the position of top cop in Alabama toed the ethical line this weekend when he revealed personal information about an abortion provider.

As Hemant Mehta of The Friendly Atheist reports at Patheos, Sam McLure, an Alabama attorney general candidate, linked to a site that “doxxes” or reveals contact and personal information of abortion providers in the state to promote his hard-line anti-abortion agenda.

“This woman killed babies on Friday in Montgomery,” McClure’s Facebook post linking to an abortion doxxing website read. “Can anyone publicly defend why she should not be prosecuted for murder?”

As Mehta points out, McLure’s platform for Alabama’s AG appears to be built entirely on anti-abortion rhetoric. In another post on his campaign page, he claims legalized abortion is a myth.

“In other eclipse news,” McClure wrote the day of the total solar eclipse, “Alabama’s insane addiction to Fed $ is only overshadowed by the urban legend that Roe v Wade is the law of the land.”

McClure is a member of the Alabama chapter of the Constitution Party, a Republican group that pushes a pro-Christian agenda.

Along with running for AG, McClure is president of the Birmingham-based Adoption Law Firm and anti-abortion group Proposal 16.

Rolando Pablos #fundie rawstory.com

Those who have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana are only beginning to see the way the flood waters have destroyed their homes. Many families tried to ride it out, only to be rescued when the rising waters forced them onto their roof. Thousands escaped with only their lives and the clothes on their backs, losing everything they own.

But according to Secretary of State Rolando Pablos (R-TX), they don’t need any help. As Patheos reported, they just need a little more Jesus.

Quebec’s Minister of International Relations Christine St-Pierre called Pablos to express her sorrow and condolences on behalf of the people of the Canadian province. She also offered equipment and manpower.

Pablos turned it down. Instead he asked for “prayers from the people of Quebec,” the minister relayed.

Understandably, the neighbor to the north was shocked.

“It was a conversation about how devastating the situation is and we want to express our support to the people of Texas,” she told CBC News in an interview.

Jason Spencer #racist rawstory.com

A Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives issued a veiled threat of lynching to a black former colleague who expressed anti-Confederate memorial sentiments on his Facebook.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia State Rep. Jason Spencer (R) did exactly that on a Facebook post when former state representative LaDawn Jones expressed a distaste for a photo he took with a Confederate monument.

“This is Georgia’s history,” Spencer wrote on a post accompanied by a selfie he took with a South Georgia monument to Confederate president Jefferson Davis.

Jones, who formerly served in the state legislature until last year, questioned whether state tax dollars help pay for the upkeep of the memorial, which includes the house Davis fled to after the Civil War ended. A few comments in, Spencer began making threatening allusions.

“Continue your quixotic journey into South Georgia and it will not be pleasant,” Spencer replied. “The truth. Not a warning. Those folks won’t put up with it like they do in Atlanta.”

“I can guarantee you won’t be met with torches but something a lot more definitive,” he continued, responding to Jones’ comment about the store-bought tiki torches used by the white supremacists at the Charlottesville rally earlier this month.

After another person commented about the differences between Atlanta (a city that has a large African American population) and the rest of Georgia, Spencer agreed.

“They will go missing in the Okefenokee [swamp],” he wrote. “Too many necks they are red around here. Don’t say I didn’t warn you about ’em.”

Jones didn’t back down from Spencer’s intimidation.

“Sounds like a threat of physical violence — is that what we are doing now?” she wrote. “Desperate times call for desperate measures huh? Afraid of what is going to happen in southern GA? I saw those white supremacists crying when sh*t really hit the fan.”

Jimmy Marr #racist rawstory.com

Drivers on Oregon’s Interstate 5 were shocked over the weekend to see anti-Semitic banners being displayed on overpasses — and now local media has figured out who is responsible.

According to OregonLive, neo-Nazi Jimmy Marr is the man behind the banners that read “UNJEW HUMANITY,” “Eclipse Whitey,” and “Jewish Financing Available.” On Sunday he tweeted images of two more banners — reading “Bolshevik Jews perpetrated the Holodomor” and “Resist Racial Eclipse.”

Marr is known for promoting the white genocide conspiracy theory, the belief that multiculturalism is a secret Jewish plot to wipe out the white race.

Many California tourists are traveling up Interstate 5 to get a better view of Monday’s solar eclipse.

Beth and Michael Dershowitz of Sacramento were driving with their children Saturday when the saw the banners.

“I cannot believe that we still have to face this vicious anti-semitism in such a public place in 2017,” Beth Dershowitz told Willamette Week. “My husband wanted to confront the men behind this, but I was afraid for our children in the car with us. Just another day in Trump’s America.”

Marr previously made headlines last year for his truck, which he covered in pro-Trump slogans and racist messages. He was also arrested for disrupting a rally against hate.

Marr did not respond OregonLive’s requests for comments, but the publication notes that his voicemail message says, “Leave us a message after the tone. Tell us what you’re doing to fight white genocide.”

Oregon Governor Kate Brown denounced Marr’s banners on Saturday, saying “hateful rhetoric like this has no place in our” state.

Michael James Holt #sexist rawstory.com

A white supremacist admitted to stockpiling guns and plotting a mass shooting out of sexual frustration.

Michael James Holt appeared Friday in an Australian court for a sentencing hearing after pleading guilty to a variety of firearms charges after police found his cache of homemade guns two years ago at his home, his grandfather’s home and a hotel, reported The Sydney Morning Herald.

The 26-year-old later pleaded guilty to possessing and sharing child pornography after police found those images while investigating the shooting plot.

Prosecutors said the New South Australia man admitted to planning a mass shooting at a mall and also wanted to shoot teachers and students at a nearby school.

Holt admitted to an “infatuation” with neo-Nazi ideology and told a counselor that he believed Adolf Hitler was “the greatest person to live,” prosecutors told the sentencing judge.

Prosecutors presented more than 40 pages of text messages from Holt revealing his plan to shoot tourists and police, the newspaper reported — and he blamed his violent urges on his inability to find a willing sexual partner.

“Gonna have to just start killing people if I don’t get laid soon,” Holt said in one text message.

Defense attorneys said Holt had been obsessed with guns since he was 5 years old, partially as a result of his autism.

The judge compared Holt to a mass shooter in Port Arthur who killed 35 people in 1996, and said his obsessions and interests were “deeply disturbing.”

Holt will be formally sentenced Sept. 29.

Brentwood Academy #fundie rawstory.com

An exclusive Christian private school in a wealthy suburb of Nashville is accused of covering-up up the repeated sexual assaults of a 12-year-old boy.

The Brentwood Academy is being sued for $60 million for allowing four eighth-grade bullies to repeatedly sexually assault a sixth-grade student, the Tennessean reports.

The lawsuit was filed by the mother of the victim.

Four male students are alleged to have “conspired to engage in male on male sexual harassment, sexual assault and/or rape upon John Doe in the locker room not supervised by an adult,” according to the lawsuit. “(The boy) would place his penis before John Doe and forcibly penetrated it into the mouth of Plaintiff John Doe without consenting claiming ‘eat it, eat it, eat it, open your mouth, accept it.'”

The same student is alleged to have bragged he “f—ed that boy up the ass and stuck a Gatorade bottle in him.”

Brentwood Academy Headmaster Curtis G. Masters allegedly told the victim to “turn the other cheek” and that, “everything in God’s kingdom happens for a reason.”

The headmaster allegedly said he considered the allegations to be “boys being boys and he could not investigate each of those and run a school.”

When the victim’s mother wanted to report the sexual assault to law enforcement, former Brentwood employee Chris Roberts — the victim’s counselor at Daystar Counseling — allegedly responded, “this isn’t how Christian institutions handle these things.”

“In addition to Masters, middle school director Nancy Brasher, administrator and middle school athletic director Buddy Alexander, assistant basketball coach Lyle Husband and sixth grade basketball coach Mike Vazquez, who is also Masters’ son-in-law, are named as individual defendants in the suit,” the Tennessean explained.

The school’s motto is, “Vivat Veritas” (Let Truth Prevail).

“A Harrison Police daily log of activity shows Boone County authorities contacted the HPD about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday for warrant confirmation on Berkley, 38, for sexual solicitation, four counts of first-degree sexual assault, seven counts of second-degree sexual assault, six counts of knowingly furnishing alcohol to a minor, four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two counts of loaning pornography to minors,” the Harrison Daily reports.

Berkley is accused of furnishing drugs and alcohol to teenage boys that he sexually assaulted.

After posting bond in Arkansas, Pastor Berkley was indicted by a Lauderdale County, Tennessee grand jury on two counts of rape, four counts of aggravated statutory rape, sexual battery by an authority figure and statutory rape by an authority figure. The charges date to the time Berkley worked as a pastor at Victory Baptist Church in Henning, Tennessee.

As Raw Story noted in 2014, church officials in Tennessee declined to say why Berkley had been ousted as Pastor.

“One of the victims told police Berkley had taken him to the funeral home where he worked part time and showed him a dead body,” the Harrison Daily reported. “The victim said Berkley had stored marijuana in a very expensive casket he didn’t think people could afford to buy.”
