Well, Bill, it’s because the world is in fact not six thousand years old, but instead much, MUCH older, to the tune of about 4 billion.
You see, Bill - you don’t mind if I call you Bill do you?, our interpid and sexy hero asked as if this mouth-breather would ever see this comment, or if the hero indeed even cared - you have, for much of your life, been lied to by a human-hating death cult that has long since become addicted to controlling every aspect of your life, and has brainwashed you into going along with them for fear of offending their ‘god.’ In order to better control you, they tell you lies about the universe, it’s age, your place in it, and basic scientific facts, because if they can convince you of magic, then they can convince you to, say, climb a mountain to sacrifice your own child, or slaughter entire nations whose only crime was not going along with your proclamations of sorcery. If they can get you to believe absurdities, they can get you to commit atrocities, and that spreads their control. And probably makes their jimmies stiff, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least.
