So awhile ago these dudes named Scott Lively and Kevin Abrams wrote a book called The Pink Swastika. It was basically written to redeem right wing racist Christians and say that no the Nazis were all gay and that’s what made them so evil. And a lot of right wing Christians gladly adopted this view because it basically said that if you’re not a ‘sexual deviant’ you’re fine and not a Nazi. And since a lot of these same Americans don’t know that there’s a difference between gay/lesbian/bi and trans people, they just lump us all together and assume we’re the same. So, therefore, to them, since Nazis were all gay, then Hitler was gay, and since all lesbian, bi, and trans people are categorized as ‘gay’ to them, then we’re all the same as Hitler.

In the Bible Jesus is referred to as “the Lion of the tribe of Judah”. It starts in Genesis where Jacob is told that his children (meaning his eventual descendants) will be lion cubs and then later Jesus is referred to as a descendant of Judah and David and identified as the “Lion” who will fulfill the prophecies set forth in Revelation.

Those bananas and strawberries and blueberries y’all love in the winter time? They don’t come from the US, and if they do, they come from California. And since shipping them has gone way up because of tariffs on basic materials, the prices are going to be through the roof for everything. Get used to eating stuff like cabbage, potatoes, and beets because those are the veggies that can be grown in cold climates. Get used to saving your pay to buy meat once a month. It’s not just tech gadgets - it’s the basic things we require to live.

Because they think all games should cater to them, and they also misbelieve that when games cater to them they are catering to everyone because they think every has the same needs and wants as them. They think they are the “default”. Therefore, if you want something different you are an outlier trying to push your wants onto everyone else. It doesn’t occur to them that there is no actual “default” in living creatures, only different options. But since they think “straight”, “male”, “white”, etc are the default, anything that strays from that is no longer for everyone but only for the people who aren’t default.

I know someone who was trying to start a boarding kennel in the late 90s/early 2000s. She loved dogs and was great with them. However, she was black and middle class, which were absolutely considered strikes against her in the area where we lived. She would find a location, do all she needed to start there, and then the complaints would start rolling in. Because it was dogs, there were constant noise complaints - even though she wasn’t in a residential district. There were also constant threats and people would call the cops on her because of course in the lily white town we were in, people wanted to keep her out and many didn’t want to see her business succeed. And so it would come to a point where either she’d have to move her business because of harassment or because the cops demanded she do so. After about 3 years of this she was completely broke, had lost her home, and her teenage daughter was suicidal. All because wealthier people were purposely trying to keep her from succeeding for no reason other than racism and classism. It was awful.
