I’d say that this is a bit different situation than the once-proposed #anti-semitic. In that case the vast, vast majority of the time, anything which is anti-Semitic is also racist and/or conspiracist (and usually both), making it not entirely redundant (as not all racism or conspiracy theories are anti-Semitic in nature) but still mostly superfluous. There’s also the factor that the #racist tag covers all forms of race-based and ethnicity-based bigotry, so it’s questionable whether we should single out one form in particular, even if it’s a particularly common one.

In this case, all of the heterophobic ones which I can recall have so far been covered by #sexist, due to sexism against men and usually women as well. It’s hard to imagine any which would not technically be covered by that, or #crackpot plus #psycho. But unlike #racist, we don’t have a catchall #sexual_orientation_phobia, and sexual orientation *is* not only a major component to heterophobia but also the most relevant one in most cases. There might occasionally be ones where any sexism is only a minor or indirect component to it and #sexist isn’t necessarily needed, as #heterophobia covers it just fine by itself.

I’m not saying “yes, we should” to either of them (I’m neutral on both) only that a #heterophobia tag seems to have a bit stronger argument going for it.

There are two factors here: one is that ironic racism (or any other -ism) is still racism. Even if your intended purpose is to bash bigots, it can still backfire and/or cause unintended damage. This wasn’t as well-known or well-considered back then. Thus people are far more cautious about that sort of thing now.

The other thing is that you can only really mock things which are culturally relevant. Making fun of old-timey stereotypes and popular media which have been dead since well before the majority of the population was even born is not going to hit the same way as they would have back when they were still in the public consciousness. Even if some older people and some classics aficionados might still be familiar with the time period and the source materials, it’s still too far removed from its original context for most.

It might be interesting to see what would happen if people could sort themselves into IRL communities with a similar ease to the way they do with online communities, which is not a privilege afforded to most people yet. There’d definitely be meta-level issues to solve first if the separation wasn’t merely in terms of ideas and/or ideologies which are of no guarantee to manifest in any practical real-world way; especially when it comes to things like “this is how other people should/shouldn’t act” or “this is what other people should/shouldn’t tolerate”. Partly because real-world spaces aren’t designed to be partitioned in the way internet communities are, and partially because quite a lot of ideologies do not, by their very nature, limit themselves in scope merely to those who believe in them.

Getting back on subject, this person seems to think that people should be separated into communities by race and ethnicity, so that the strongly anti-diversity types among them rarely have to deal with anyone outside their own race and/or ethnicity. Setting aside practical and logistical concerns (of which are many and a bit of a nightmare), this ignores that mixed-race people and fusion-ethnicity families exist, and they’d have nowhere to go. Not to mention that a large chunk of the population is genuinely pro-diversity, and suddenly you’d have the opposite problem.

The weirdest part is that this implies that “truth” - particularly that of history and current events - is determined by “mainstream consensus”. I read the original source to see if there was any clarification of what that means - whether “mainstream” is redundant in context or if it implies something else, like perhaps “non-mainstream people don’t get a say”, plus whether the consensus is of everyone or of experts or of leaders or whoever. None is provided, so I’ll assume “redundant” and “everyone” to simplify things, even if it feels like there might be some sort of “not everyone counts” involved here. Regardless, “what happened” is not an *opinion* and can in most cases can be objectively determined (within a degree of uncertainty, and not always with all the details); it’s not something which people just get to make up.

The description of Reddit as a symbol/haven of left-wing censorship (not in the OP, but in the original source) is interesting. Reddit in general skews younger and more liberal, though plenty of nonpolitical and right-wing subs exist. Reddit is community-driven social media, which means that the communities are free to silence you and kick you out if they think you’re being disruptive or really don’t like what you have to say. This is not any different from IRL/meatspace communities, and is not Reddit soft-censoring you. Reddit does ban communities which are sufficiently disruptive to other communities or which repeatedly and egregiously violate their rules, but virtually every social media does that regardless of political leanings, so there’s no reason to single out Reddit for that.

This reads like someone who spends most of their time in an information bubble, thinks that bubble is representative of the “mainstream”, at some point concluded that any differences outside of the bubble is “left-wing censorship of mainstream views”, and also has trouble distinguishing fact from opinion.

This feels rather… “ironic” definitely isn’t the right word here, but not sure what else to use… in contrast to a work of fiction that I read very recently. Rampant sensuality, kink, sex, and drug use, in a similar vein to Brave New World and similar “utopian dystopias”, but forced on humanity by questionably “benevolent” aliens. The contrast here is that rather than this being “enforced narcissism” the aliens are creating an environment of ego death and near-pathological selflessness (and also learned helplessness, in some cases), which is the exact opposite. Meanwhile the people branded as “narcissist” and/or “psycho-spiritually unhealthy” (to use the OP’s words, not the in-setting terms) are the religious fundies, fascists, violent criminals, and greedy hyper-capitalists. Those people “need” to be trained out of their dangerous mindsets, or failing that (and it doesn’t take much to fail), get non-consensually blissed out and memory-wiped to the point of near-total personality death and made a personal ward of one of the aliens - “for their own good”, of course.

Neither view is inherently right, though. There is indeed such a thing as a “psychologically healthy sex pervert” (I’m not going to include “spiritual” into that because what “spiritual” means and how it’s experienced varies considerably between individuals, and for some people it’s a meaningless concept). But also some “sex perverts” very much aren’t, or become unhealthy because they’re approaching it in a very wrong way. This is further confounded by the fact that what is truly “selfless” and “selfish” is both context-dependent and mindset-dependent, and things can be both at the same time, which is why some people throw the narc-word around a little too casually in social, political, and religious discussions (due to ignorance and/or misaimed empathy). It’s a complicated subject, but I don’t need to watch a $20 video on “Diabolical Narcissism” to know that whatever the OP’s full views are, they’re utter trash.

It can be any of those things (though “heavy metals” is very unlikely these days unless you live in a slum which still uses lead piping or is built on a toxic waste dump). It can also be (and more likely is) stress, which can come from any number of places in your life, poor ventilation, poor hydration, nutritional deficiencies, unusual sensitivities, and/or some undiagnosed chronic illness. (If it’s short term, some of this could also be burnout, or your immune system fighting off a disease which isn’t showing any obvious symptoms.)

Aside from some of the rarer chronic illnesses, there are treatments or cures for all of these, even if it’s just “remove yourself from the environment” (which sadly may not always practical). Out of the usual quackeries, the only thing which sometimes works is certain forms of “detox cleanse” treatment… but mostly because the people who are doing them are chronically mildly dehydrated and/or have a diet deficient in certain vitamins, and that particular form of detox treatment provides what they’re missing. Any actual “detox” which might come from this is due to temporarily restoring efficient liver and kidney function, not from directly removing “poisons” and/or “heavy metals”, if that’s even one of the issues (it usually isn’t).

Rising energy costs and rising food prices do have an effect. Also some of the people on public assistance struggled with affording enough food before the current greedflation hit.

Privilege is the ability to go march against, and protest against anything that triggers you, without worrying about calling out of work and the consequences that accompany such behavior.
Most protests take place starting at 5-6pm or on weekends, specifically to minimize the consequences for the largest number of people.

Privilege is having as many children as you want, regardless of your employment status, and be able to send them off to daycare or school you don’t pay for.
Government subsidized daycare mostly doesn’t exist in the US as far as I’m aware of, not sure about other places. Also if someone doesn’t work at all as the OP seems to be assuming (some people on government aid *do* work) you’d theoretically have plenty of time to take care of your own kids (in practice, it doesn’t always work that way). And there are limits to the benefits one can receive which makes more than 2-3 kids economically dicey even with government aid. Also spawning half-a-dozen-or-so kids only really happens among first-generation immigrants who come from countries/cultures with high childhood mortality (something becoming less common as time goes on) and among well-off people with breeding fetishes.

Why don’t you just commit a crime? You can then be “privileged” with a free room and board, and you get to socialize with other people just like you. Make sure to commit it in a state where *most* of the prisons have working air conditioning and vaguely adequate medical care, also free.

I’ve occasionally heard the far right blather about how empathy is a vector for manipulation or corruption. What they seem to mean by this is that exposure to those whom they have declared evil or subhuman sometimes results in people *not* seeing them as evil or suhuman and likely suspicious about anything else the far right commonly declares to be truth. This is “bad” because that makes it harder to manipulate others themselves, except that what they’re doing is not “manipulation” because that’s what evil people do.

Though if that’s what’s being referred to here (and also lumps it with disagreements on bible interpretation, for whatever reason), “toxic empathy” is a weird name for it. Empathy isn’t something other people force on you, it’s an ability you possess. It’s entirely possible to manipulate people through their empathy, it happens all the time, but that’s not how Charlie Kirk is describing it.

From what I’ve heard over the years, sexual trauma can cause hypersexuality, which normally goes away once the trauma is healed. There are a tiny number of people in the BDSM community who engage in safe-ish, carefully controlled rape fantasies as a means of healing sexual trauma (a questionable practice, but it does seem to work sometimes), but it’s not linked to any other kinks, fetishes, or sexual practices that I’m aware of.

Meanwhile fetishes are *sometimes* a sign of something lacking in one’s life. Something which is desperately needed which the fetish partially fulfills on some level - but not necessarily something which has an obvious connection to whatever’s missing. For example, having a soul-crushing job which you can’t escape when you’re the sort of person who needs to work which you enjoy to feel fulfilled can result in all manner of dysfunctions - from drinking problems, to gambling addiction, to religious fervor, to some random fetish which might vaguely be related to whatever tasks fulfill you, but not necessarily. The fetish usually goes away once the real need is fulfilled.

Though in some cases there can be an obvious connection, given how well documented it is that a significant minority of late-transitioning trans women engage in cross-dressing or sissy hypno fetishes before realizing they were trans. Those nearly always go away once they start transition, because that *is* what they needed.

And then some people are just wired like that, and there’s nothing to “fix”. Brains can be weird sometimes.

Panel 4 probably isn’t meant to be “trans caricatures” but woke wojacks. The swoopy colored hair and piercings is his way of indicating “wokeness”. The fact that various LGBTQIA+ caricatures sometimes have them as well is (probably) separate from their LGBTQIA+ status.

This isn’t the first time that a cloud of wojacks showed up to shout someone down, but the first time they had “woke” hair and piercings.

Jack Chick was the sort of Christian who believes that being baptized and accepting Jesus alone gets you into heaven, and refusing to do either or both earns you hell. I vaguely remember a couple of them in particular which illustrate this. One of them had a bunch of people (Native Americans, I think) who were covered in black stains; the ones who accepted Jesus had the stains vanish and became happy, while the ones who didn’t kept the stains and became dour and joyless. Another contrasted a husband-and-wife missionary team with a hardened criminal; the former lead a virtuous life by Christian standards, but went to hell for being unbaptized, while the criminal was justly executed but went to heaven. Might be remembering them wrong, haven’t read any of those tracts in over a decade.

He’s not entirely unique in this. I’m kind of baffled by that particular take. One of the main purposes of religion is to get people to behave in a moral (or “moral”) fashion, but if you can be evil as you want so long as you “accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior” and engage in a particular ritual once in your life (not necessarily willingly, as many children are baptized by force) then… what exactly is the point of Heaven and Hell and “God’s Laws” and all that? Even if the criminal in the example didn’t truly accept Jesus until it was too late to avoid death row, but once he did so it somehow made him unable to do evil things ever again (which isn’t well-reflected in real life, as some of the most devout fundies can be pretty horrible people even by their own standards, and also apparently not well-reflected by this cowboy one, I haven’t seen it) it still seems rather arbitrary at best.

This strikes me as doing selfish crackpot religion in much the same way as Sovereign Citizens try to do selfish crackpot legalism.

It would be massively disruptive regardless, and it would depend on the country. I would not be surprised if, for example, France would actually be a bit better off losing all men than all women, while something hyperpatriarchal like Saudi Arabia would be hit really hard by no men.

A big question mark is major corporations which currently have few women in the upper ranks. How essential are those, and would they be able to hold together if there were no men?

Of course this scenario is unrealistic, as even a plague which targeted one sex or the other would leave at least a tiny sliver of them still alive, and also there would be time for handovers of knowledge and duty, as no disease can be both nearly 100% fatal and super-fast-spreading. Any other scenario gets deep into sci-fi territory.

This would make some sense if atheists were going around portraying amorality as virtue and displaying their faith in God’s nonexistence like a negative photo of the most obnoxious Christians, but that doesn’t happen in real life. Closest it gets is antitheists insisting that religion is a mind poison/virus which must be eliminated. Otherwise, there’s no realistic way a child would make “logical” connections like those. I’ve never seriously seen the argument that anything like this really happens (outside of Chick Tracts, of course)… but I have seen the argument that, because atheism “should” lead to this outcome but doesn’t, it’s a sign of denial and/or hypocrisy somehow. Which mostly just exposes their highly flawed theory of mind and/or lack of imagination.
