[topic: "Anyone singing to the Lord more than usual?"]

I love to worship Jesus, and I enjoy singing...but within the last few weeks, a song is always on my lips, and in my heart. It feels like I've 'upped' the worship a notch or two.

Yesterday I was stuck on the freeway, due to a traffic accident,and I had my worship music blasting away, and I'm singing my heart out, and glance up and there's a semi truck driver just staring at me like I had 3 eyes!
It was actually funny! I just kept on singing!

For the last few months I've felt such an intensity of adoration to God. I cry instantly when I sit to think about what He has done for us - I cry when I read the prayer requests - I cry when I think about all the people I see on the train who don't know the Lord and I cry mostly because He is so wonderful and generous to us. I feel closer to God than I have felt in a while - it's a wonderful feeling. It must be a sign of the times we're in. Do you also feel an outpouring of love towards others? I had an insane thought that I should get up while on my train ride to work and start telling people about Jesus. Of course - I didn't - I rationalised it for a moment and cowered out. I don't think they would have pelted me with rotten tomatoes or anything like that!

I am looking forward to the Holiness that we will live in ALL the time, no more temptation or even thinking of anything sinful! I can't wait to hear the heavenly hosts singing praises too, and I hope I can carry a tune there, because I sure can't here! I also look forward to actually seeing my Savior with my own eyes and feeling Him wrap His arms around me and say, Welcome home, my good and faithful servant. I could stay right there in his embrace for eternity!!!! It's so exciting to think that we will be able to speak to all the faithful Bible figures we have read about. I can't wait!

Lately, I can't stop gazing at the sky, on my breaks, while driving, I glance up almost all the time. I keep thinking that I might catch the angel with the trumpet just a moment or two before he sounds off. I'm ready to run into Jesus' arms and see Him smile at me and hold me. I can't wait to be in Heaven and see everything with Jesus. There's going to be alot to ask Him about. Wow, to have forever with Jesus!

I like Sarah Palin. She's a God send. I love her stance against abortion. I think she is the most pro-life candidate who has ever run for anything. However, I don't think we will be here to vote nor do I think she will be around after the rapture to become VP. I believe Obama will win simply because all believers will not be around to vote. It isn't a time in history where anything good or positive is going to "turn America around". The tribulation, I believe, is about to be ushered in. I could be wrong, but all the signs are there, all the chess pieces are in place. We're just waiting for the curtain to go up.

This is definetely the season. I'm getting the feeling like an athlete right before the gun sounds and a race is about to start. The anticipation, the background noise, the knot in my stomach. This is really happening.

When the situation with Russia reaches a fever pitch, the hammer will drop and the return of our Lord for us will be moments away. One may want to leave any extra bibles laying around in accessible places for any of those left behind. Having extra food out for pets is also a good idea. Basically, prepare for a 7 year vacation away from your house. Most likely, it won't be standing when we return anyhow. Besides, you won't need it; our enormouse gem-studded mansions will be much more preferable: 0% down, 0% A.P.R., no payments for the first eternity. With all that's happening in our world, Jesus is so close to coming for us its easy to get goosebumps. I feel much less stressed than normal, and things that used to bug me don't anymore. I know I'm so close to leaving this world, not much gets to me anymore. It's just not worth it. Jesus is about to come for me, and this world can have all its problems.

We are to be faithful like little children. Think back to a family vacation, when you were small. You hounded your parents, "Are we leaving now? Are we leaving today? Are we leaving tomorrow?" And even if they told you, you were too excited to really listen. After all, they packed for you, got the car ready, turned off the lights in the house, unplugged the toaster, picked up your special blanky and your bunny, said, "NOW!" All you had to do was bounce excitedly out the door.

How will we be any different from small children? WE WON'T! There's nothing we need to do to prepare for the Rapture. We don't even need our favorite bunny. We don't need to pack. When it is time God will say, "NOW!" and we'll excitedly bounce up to Heaven to start the next adventure.

I just got in an eMail - for the umpteenth time - a thing about "lessons for 2008" from the Dali Lama that's "pertinent whatever your religious beliefs."

The advice may be good, but frankly, as a Christian, I don't give a darn what he has to say, nor do I wish to promote his beliefs in any way. Needless to say, I deleted it without reading it, and certainly did not "read quietly then send it along on its journey, and within 96 hours something amazing will happen." [angry smiley] Just the very thought that someone who purports to be a Christian would even send me something to affect my "karma" annoys the heck out of me.

I've asked people over and over to NOT send me this junk. I'm trying to compose a good, Scripture-laded response to send to them and hopefully make them realize that believing in and promoting this garbage is witchcraft.

What would each of you respond?

Well, I can totally agree with your actions. I've been getting regular haircuts in anticipation of the Rapture. I'm not sure if our hair will continue to grow in our glorified bodies, maybe it will? So, just in case I started making sure my hair always looks nice for Jesus. I really do feel like I'm getting ready for a wedding somedays.

Okay, as a spouse of a recovering porn addict I can offer some support. There are programs you can download that will email you the entire list of whatever was looked up and looked at on any computer you load it into. This little program can not get around it as I know what gets googled as well. Anytime the screen changes, the link is recorded before the cashe is deleted.

I ended up having to go to his work place (got permission after speaking with employer) and downloading it onto every computer he had access to as well as our home computer.
It might sound invasively crazy, but my husband has told me many times how knowing I would find out helped him in weaker moments to turn away. This was at the beginning of the recovery and I could tell you stories that would make a brick weep. Did not stop him all together, many falls off the wagon, but steady progress was made.

I just want it all to be over so badly. I am ready to crawl up in the father's lap and nuzzle my face into his shoulder. I want to breathe in his aroma and feel his undescribeable love. I want to sit under the Tree of Life with Jesus and just laugh. I want to learn everything He is willing to teach me, with my glorified mind, in my glorified body.

Here in the liberal state of Oregon, that "Coexist" bumper sticker is everywhere and I hate it. I also have grown to hate the one that says "If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention." That one is on a co-worker's car. At one time it made sense, now it's a mantra of the leftist liberals.

Evolution does not draw any support from scripture and scripture has never been proven wrong. Evolution doesnt even use the same order of appearance that the creation happened in. I'm taking two science classes this year in my first year of college, and both (massive) books basically state evolution as fact; the word "theory" is never printed, never mentioned. There are chapters and chapters explaining evolution in detail, and it convinces everyone that it is true. I had to literally shut my Psychology book and shove it off my desk because I was in such powerful disagreement with what I was reading. And we are tested on this, and we write papers on it and it just kills me to see how creationism has been completely eliminated and forgotten. How come more people cannot see how ridiculous evolution is? And we have been taught that evolution is a fact since, oh I don't know, 6th grade?

When my children were in elementary school, evolution was taught in the science classroom. I didn't like it, but was unable to homeschool them. We have taught them the bible truth from birth, so I wasn't really too worried about it. I just told them to learn enough to pass the tests and then throw it away, because it is a lie from satan.

But then, when my daughter was in 10th grade (2003), in her World History classroom, she was given an assignment which included several different choices she could make. All of them were based on evolutionary beliefs (ex. Pretend you are living 30 billion years ago and write a letter to a friend living today. This was actually one of the least preposterous ones!). As stated, this was a history class! To me, this says that the schools are not only teaching it as a theory in science, but as an historical fact.

I had a really weird day yesterday. I was going to lunch and I saw a big military plane fly by. I work near an airport but in the 2 1/2 years of working here, I have never seen a big cargo military plan fly over. On my way back to work from lunch (not an hour later) I saw ANOTHER one. I thought "what is going on???" thinking maybe they heard something. Then when I was getting out of my car I thought "I need to say goodbye to my friends" like I was never going to come back. My friend at work are Christians so I really don't think I was thinking Rapture type of thing. THEN about 2 hours later, I had the same thought. AND THEN I saw another cargo military plane fly by. I was really unnerved. Well, of course the rapture didn't happen. I am not sure what it was though.

OK, it was 94 degrees outside, and this was all on display in the store - swimming pool accessories, garden tools, Halloween decorations, and Christmas decorations! All at once!

There are many evolutionists who see darwinian evolution is full of conflict and trouble, thus punctuated equilibrium. Such a theory would not be necessary unless the old one was seen as problematic from within the ranks of evolutionist thought.

Many Christians are quite versed in evolution, but we see far too much evidence of a creator than to believe in spontaneous generation, or punctuated equilibrium.

When these basic topics are mentioned by our side, we are instantly labeled as religious nuts. Oddly most evolutionists I know are not particularly interested in looking at their own beliefs. It seems, based on most evolutionists I have tried to engage, they prefer to mock the other side, and in their minds somehow that settles the issue.

It is not a pursuit of the truth that the evolutionists are interested in.

First of all JESUS didnt come to earth to form a "religion".. he came to start HIS Kingdom..thats why HE is called "The King of all Kings"...He confronted and rebuked the Jewish 'religious folks"all the time....they wanted their rules and regulations, which neglecting compassion and love...Hypocrites he called them!!

My (much) younger 29-year-old brother is solidly behind Obama. This is a young man who grew up in church and knows VERY well what God's Word says. He's a Christian singer/songwriter in Nashville! He works with YOUTH GROUPS and young people in high schools and college. He has influence with some younger people. It's frightening. I am astonished that he can support Obama - it just blows me away...
