Trump sues Facebook, Twitter and Google, claiming censorship

WASHINGTON, July 7 (Reuters) - Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday filed lawsuits against Twitter Inc (TWTR.N), Facebook Inc (FB.O), and Alphabet Inc's Google (GOOGL.O), as well as their chief executives, alleging they unlawfully silence conservative viewpoints.

The lawsuits, filed in U.S. District Court in Miami, allege the California-based social media platforms violated the right to freedom of speech guaranteed by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Trump is seeking class action status for the lawsuits, meaning he would represent the interests of other users of Twitter, Facebook, and Google's YouTube who allege they have been unfairly silenced.

He filed three lawsuits making similar allegations …

"We will achieve a historic victory for American freedom and at the same time, freedom of speech," Trump said at a news conference at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.

The lawsuits ask a judge to invalidate Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, a law that has been called the backbone of the internet because it provides websites with protections from liability over content posted by users. Trump and others who have attacked Section 230 say it has given big internet companies too much legal protection and allowed them to escape responsibility for their actions.

"This complaint is hard to even make sense of," said Paul Gowder, a professor of law at Northwestern University.

Trump sought to portray the social media companies as subject to the same First Amendment requirements as government entities when it comes to censorship, but Gowder said nothing in the lawsuits "even comes close to turning social media companies into government actors."

Earnest Belfort Bax wrote in the 1800s that women were basically in charge in domestic spheres.

He even talked about a media bias in the newspapers against men in family matters.

Another publication in the 1800s talked about how women were violent with their husbands, and how men couldn't do anything about it because there weren't any laws protecting husbands from domestic violence.

Rick Santorum says 'there isn't much Native American culture in American culture'

The former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania made the remarks to a conservative audience as part of a broader comment on America's early European settlers.

In remarks to conservative group the Young America's Foundation on Friday, Santorum argued that the culture of the United States is largely unchanged since it was birthed by "Judeo-Christian" values.

Santorum, 62, a Republican from Pennsylvania who served in the Senate from 1995 to 2007 and is now a CNN commentator, said there was "nothing here" before European settlers arrived.

Why Liberalism Should Be Illegal Under Federal Law

Simply put, if taken to its logical conclusion, liberalism/leftism will destroy America in many different ways. Liberalism is not an evolutionary ideology. It isn’t even an ideology per se. It’s a revolutionary movement. A revolution. An overthrow. Destruction of the existing order. And anything so dangerous must be banned by federal law as being “harmful and destructive to America.” If liberalism isn’t banned by a bill in Congress, then it must be banned by an executive order from the president.

Here are a few ways that liberalism will destroy America:

1. It will bankrupt America (just look at the “Green New Deal” which will cost over a trillion dollars).

2. It will lead to massive lawlessness (after all, liberalism basically amounts to “just ignore any laws that you don’t agree with”).

3. It will lead to massive health crises (look at California already, with its rats and homelessness; some of the rats have bubonic plague and the bums have e. coli).

4. It will lead to massive social disorder, and from that will spring untold mental-health and social crises.

5. It will lead to massive legal and illegal immigration, with too many immigrants for America’s government agencies, social services and infrastructure to handle.

Have you seen the 1973 movie “Soylent Green”? That’s just what America will be like if liberalism is allowed to continue unchecked. Why would anyone want to allow liberalism to continue, given what awaits our country if it does? Make no mistake: this isn’t just a matter of “differing Left-wing/Right-wing opinions and ideas.” This goes far beyond mere politics.

The “Homeless Problem” in America

Isn’t it curious that there’s only a “homeless problem” in big, liberal cities like Seattle and San Francisco? You don’t see the “homeless” camped out in Topeka, Kansas. (In Los Angeles, the “homeless” have built permanent little tent cities, consisting of 1,000 tents each. Imagine the smell and the diseases such as hepatitis! That’s a public health problem).

The “Homeless Problem” in America is media-driven. Recall the transformation, entirely via the press, of the “homeless”: first, they were just bums; then later, they became “transients”; then, circa 1981, they became poor, innocent “homeless people.” Being a bum lost its stigma, and drug-addicted losers who were wanted by the law felt free to become “homeless” without fear of being arrested for vagrancy (in fact, I don’t think “vagrancy” is a crime anywhere now). Today, “homeless people” are proud, noble “victims” who cannot be criticized, no matter how often they shit on your doorstep or break into your car.

Not only that, the authors find that the existence of a so-called “fat tail” — the notion that extreme temperature changes in response to increases in atmospheric CO2 are likely — is illusory.

The failure of the global warming "science" needs to be rubbed hard and repeatedly into the noses of all the scientists and science fetishists who claim that science cannot be questioned by non-scientists, or indeed, that their statements bear any more weight than those made by the fat homeless guy living in van DOWN BY THE RIVER!

Up until recently the media has played along, touting Nigeria as the "powerhouse" of Africa, celebrating their "vibrant film industry" and "cutting edge art scene" along with lovely cities filled with a "newly wealthy middle class" who fill clubs and restaurants in search of "the good life." Maybe the readers of Bloomberg will wise up and see the hell hole that is modern-day Nigeria. Most of them are mentally ill and addicted to drugs. There's no hope for schizophrenia. There is no hope for certain mental illnesses that cause violence and paranoia. These homeless people are not just merely living on the streets. They're ruining the streets! They are breaking into people's homes, Cars, Businesses, They are stealing! They harass people, Sometimes physically assault people. They are leaving their dirty needles all over the place. They are defecating in public. I don't understand how these people are not considered zombies that should be euthanized. We euthanize puppies and kittens that do absolutely nothing bad and yet we keep these people alive? For what? Discourage the voluntary homeless and rid society of the ones who will never contribute Governments create more and more homeless by handing out free drugs, Putting them up in hotels with meals and allowing them to do what ever they want in our parks. If you can euthanize a dangerous animal you can euthanize a dangerous human. I am tired of living in fear of walking downtown or going to the parks I used to love because the homeless are camped out there. I was a social worker, I’ve seen it. You will never end homelessness. Build all the low cost housing you want, You can’t house a drug addict or someone with mental illness who chooses to be on the streets.
