Men-only gyms seek to protect Christian men from lust

To reach that peak, the Christian manosphere believes men need to be in top physical and spiritual shape. So one way they’re proposing to accomplish that is through “lust-free” gyms.

“Why are we men’s only? Who are we?” asks Jeff Hambrecht, founder of Proverbs 27:17 Fitness in Oklahoma City. “In a nutshell, one of the No. 1 places affairs and infidelity occur, cheating, is the gym. Mitch Parsons, founder of Youth Group for Men and Remnant Men in Denver, had a similar experience. “I quit four gyms before I built one,” he says on the Remnant Gym website. “I realized the problem wasn’t the gym. It was that no one had built what I actually needed, or what I wanted.”

“I was tired of having nakedness shoved in my face every time I walked into a gym to train,” Parsons claims. “I had to choose between honoring the Lord, honoring my wife, and guarding my eyes, or training my body. So I quit four gyms.”

Both male-only gyms take inspiration from Proverbs 27:17, which says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

Rather than having a gym where “nakedness” supposedly gets “shoved in his face,” Parsons dreams of “a place where Christian men gather, sharpen each other, and are formed under the fear of the Lord.”

His vision is for men to “sharpen each other in brotherhood” and suggests, “Real sharpening requires daily proximity to other faithful men who refuse to let you drift.”

These fantasies help me get through particularly painful episodes because I escape into a fictional reality where I feel I have been delivered some measure of justice. There are two aspects to my pain. The first is the injuries I have already suffered. The experience of my life thus far at 31 years of age. My youth has come and gone, and I didn't get to experience sex once. I think about the countless number of cute girls I've known and met and come across throughout my life who I felt attracted to, none of whom felt attraction to me. It feels so gravely unjust to me that everyone else gets to experience mutual sexual interest, but I don't. For some reason I have been designated to be denied that experience. When I think about this, rage and anger wash over me. The second aspect is the fact that there is no light at the end of the tunnel for me. As I get older, I get even uglier. You can redirect a river before you could reverse it. No one is going to achieve the impossible just to save a bunch of whiny useless faggots. Even if they tried, it would not succeed.
I don’t know why they think the elite class would favor with failmales over anyone. Failmales are the most expendable class of people on the planet, in fact every functional society has to continuously come up with ways to neutralize/discard them. Women are less of a liability and are fully capable of contributing equally if not more.

Robot husbandos are far more likely to replace men than robot waifus are to replace women. It’s more efficient and helps tackle a perpetual problem. To bring it back to humanization/objectification, yes, men often see the “humanized” male icons that females create as derogatory, inaccurate, insulting, and presumptuous. See their common catchphrase: “romance movies are pornography for women”. They can identify false female projections. When they’re in the mood to get on a podium and talk down to someone, they’ll remind women of how ignorant they are.
Humanization, as inaccurate as it is for males, does imply depth, good will, and compassion, so they do not protest a misread when they can capitalize on it. Men want you to think he’s just like a romance novel love interest up until you expect him to act like one. He’ll just string you along for as long as possible.

If men are guilty of excessively objectifying women, women are guilty of excessively humanizing men.

It’s a tragic, ironic inversion.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Wednesday that he is rolling out a new screening program for “testosterone deficiency” among troops, calling it necessary to allow them to operate at their “absolute best.”

The screenings will be conducted annually as part of service members’ required medical screenings for those 30 and older, he said. Troops under 30 can volunteer to be tested. In a video on social media, Hegseth said receiving testosterone replacement therapy would be voluntary.

When asked about what conditions Hegseth was looking to address with the new policy, the Pentagon referred to Hegseth’s remarks in the video that talked about keeping troops “strong, resilient and capable” and that the rigors of the modern battlefield demand “maximum psychological and mental readiness.”

Over the past several years, special operations troops — and specifically Navy SEALs — have come under scrutiny for their use of testosterone and similar substances to enhance performance.

The death of a SEAL recruit during training in 2022 led to a discovery of substances in his possession, including testosterone, and revealed far more rampant drug use among the elite program than was previously acknowledged.

A year after the recruit’s death, the Navy said it would begin a drug-testing program to screen for “any hormonal substance, chemically or pharmacologically related to testosterone, that promotes muscle growth.”

Hegseth said his new initiative is “not about artificial enhancement.”

The Pentagon did not respond to questions about what research or academic studies underpinned the move. It also didn’t say if female troops would be able to be screened for lowering estrogen as they entered perimenopause.

However, in a patriarchal context, the male-pleasing is even more clear and even more problematic, especially where and if mothers think that they are better than non-mothers, and that they hold a position of legitimate power and authority over anyone and Holy Shit, mothers do think that, don’t they? Mothers think they have a legitimate claim of authority over everyone, including their own children, other people’s children, and importantly over child-free women, who mothers regard as overgrown babies no matter how old or experienced we are. But this claim of authority is not based in anything legitimate, and maternal authority is therefore not a legitimate authority at all.

To wit, in my estimation, under the current paradigm, women become impregnated, and thus become mothers, under the following conditions: by engaging in heterosexual sex, which for females is a sexuality rather defined by pleasing men; through rape, which is also pleasing to men and which many men find indistinguishable from sex; and via patriarchal reproductive technologies, where women let Big Medicine and Western medical doctors torture and experiment on them, where males are known to enjoy torturing females, males, and nonhuman animals and they do it for sport, and have elevated torture to an artform. Women can also become “mothers” by stealing other women’s babies, which hardly cements their claim of legitimate authority over anyone.

My point is that the search for 'equality' can never end, and that in the process of searching for this impossible goal, the stirring up of male hatred is usually a major consequence - and, indeed, in the case of feminists, it is a purposeful aim.
