Shaliha said that she protested, but Sharmila Begum had pressurised her to bury the child in their backyard

Pattukottai Thahsildar reported the child's death to the local police. The body was exhumed and has been sent for autopsy

The theory of evolution was fabricated by a mental patient. Colp noted that "behind these symptoms there was always a core of anxiety and depression" (1977, p. 97). Some speculate that part of Darwin's mental problems were due to his nagging, gnawing fear that he had devoted his "life to a fantasy"—and a "dangerous one" at that (Desmond and Moore, 1991, p. 477). This fear was that his theory was false and there was, in fact, a divine Creator.

Darwin was clearly a very troubled man and suffered from severe emotional problems for most of his adult life, especially when he was in the prime of life. The exact cause of his mental and many physical problems has been much debated and may never be known for certain. Since Darwin wrote extensively about his mental and physical problems, we have much material on which to base a reasonable conclusion about this area of his life. The diagnosis of the cause of his mental and physical problems includes a variety of debilitating conditions, but agoraphobia with the addition of psychoneurosis is most probably correct.

Is it a uniquely Anglosphere phenomenon (by virtue of American cultural imperialism, of course) that there is a serious debate between "conservative Christians" and "LGBT et al" over whether or not homosexuality is a choice?

And just like every debate that manages to filter into the conversation of common people, both sides opt for the extreme: for conservatives, it is a conscious choice to not be heterosexual; and for progressives, a person is simply born gay. Both wrong, both stupid.

Then how does gayness come about if both are wrong?

Though humanity particulates into two sexes, sexual communion between them brings unifying reversion. This temporal reversion conjoins them into an immanent 'one', a state participating of god - a oneness and union mirroring the oneness and union of the divine itself.

But as with all encosmic things, our primal knowledge of sex is that known via sense. This level is little different to that of other species; desire is for the act alone, not for the union or product. For those overwhelmed by indulgence, having a sex preference is preventative.

This kind accounts only for a small number, however. The majority of those who peel from the sexual norm have so due to certain sensible 'impositions' impressed upon the mind from without, their material conditions inducing a reaction that results in novel sexuality.

Although explicit study into causes of sexuality has become a minefield due to politics, it is known that the frequency of having been a victim of historic or ongoing abuse (sexual or domestic) among those who identify by novel sexualities is disproportionately high.

Culture has also increasingly normalised novel sexuality, pressing it strongly among youth through sex education and media. Alongside this is consumerism's encouragement of selfishness and its glorification of frivolous and indulgent lifestyles.

This is just absolute speculation.

What would a Tyrannosaurus rex with a major toothache act like? We probably don’t want to know! We know at least one T. rex was suffering from bone disease in its lower jaw when it died. This disease extended to the root of one of its teeth and was discovered using a CT-based, non-invasive imaging approach. So why is a diseased dinosaur significant in a biblical worldview?

Well, Genesis 1:31 tells us God’s original creation was “very good.” Yet many Christians accept the secular timeline for dinosaurs, believing they died out millions of years ago and before man existed. But that puts death, suffering, and disease before Adam’s sin!

Examples of disease in fossils, including dinosaurs that are supposedly millions of years old, are fairly common. Those who accept the conventional evolutionary dates for these fossils must believe in millions of years of death and disease in a “very good” creation. But we know these things aren’t good! They’re horrible and are consequences of sin, not of God’s original design.

Instead of trying to add man’s ideas into the Bible, let’s start with God’s Word. When we do that, we see that God created a perfect world (Deuteronomy 32:4) just a few thousand years ago, and dinosaurs were just part of the incredible diversity of creatures God made.

Oh, and most fossils are from the flood of Noah’s day about 4,300 years ago.

Transgender people can’t be baptized unless they’ve ‘repented,’ Catholic diocese says

A Catholic diocese in Michigan has instructed its pastors to deny baptism, confirmation and other sacraments to transgender and nonbinary people unless they have “repented” — possibly the first diocese in the United States to issue such a sweeping policy about those who identify with a gender other than their sex assigned at birth.

The guidance issued by the Diocese of Marquette also stipulates that transgender people may not receive Communion, in which Catholics believe the body and blood of Jesus Christ are truly present. In most circumstances, they cannot receive the anointing of the sick, which is meant to provide physical or spiritual healing to those who are seriously ill. The guidance was issued in July but only recently sparked a debate after a prominent priest and advocate for LGBTQ Catholics shared it on Twitter.

“The experience of incongruence in one’s sexual identity is not sinful if it does not arise from the person’s free will, nor would it stand in the way of Christian Initiation,” reads the document. “However, deliberate, freely chosen and manifest behaviors to redefine one’s sex do constitute such an obstacle.”

As a philosopher and a Greek mythologist, I do a lot of thinking about the latter with the maps of the former. One area that has always interested me is seeing how the tales of old still prove true today.

The Greek myths and Greek stories often require more than just a surface analysis. Most modern scholars, historians and even mythologists have yet to realize this. I think that some of the things the Gods did, were things that they kept doing as time went on, a progressive action like evolution itself. It wasn't a one and done kind of thing. Just as order has remained a constant, so have the actions of the Gods to maintain that order, balance and preferred universe.

That which was an affront to the Gods, or abhorred, was locked away.

The more we learn about the science of remote places far in the depths or the corners of the Earth, the more we see monstrous creatures even to this day. Let's take a dive into the ocean for instance. At one thousand meters there is nothing but absolute darkness. This means that humans could not reach it in their natural form, nor could anything at this level or onward reach humans or general life above. By the time two thousand to four thousand meters is reached we start to see the monsters of the water, such as the angler fish, dragon fish, viper fish, fang tooth fish, and the giant squid - hideous and deadly creatures kept from the sight and reaches of the world above. And these are just the monsters we know of. Only 5% of the ocean has been explored and mapped.

All over the world, there are still places humans have not been, deep in caves or miles beneath the surface of the crust. What else has been put away in the bowels of the Earth or the universe itself, and for what reasons?

A question came up recently from a concerned parent: “How might a homosexual friend influence my child? Or someone who is confused about gender?" This has been an issue in a number of situations we’ve encountered over the past few years, in discussions with both parents and students.

Because there are increasing numbers of kids who are “out,” I am advising every parent to prepare a student in advance when—not if—they have a relatively close association with someone who is a declared homosexual or who is trying to live as the opposite sex. What are the risks? And, are there any opportunities as well?

Sexual involvement. The first thing you need to decide is whether there is any risk of sexual involvement, and rule this out (hopefully). If it’s a same sex friend this is of course more risky, because the friend who confesses a “crush” on your son or daughter may really mess with his or her mind or emotions, particularly if it’s a vulnerable time in your child’s life. The relationship may start as an attempt to “help” the friend, or may mask an attempt to demonstrate sophistication and a lack of bigotry among peers.

Christian Faith. The biggest danger is what this friendship will do to genuine Christian faith. Your child will hear the assertion over and over that the friend is not only well-adjusted, but sure that he could never be anything other than homosexual, or is really trapped in the wrong sex body. This is certainly a firm belief, but it’s not based on reality. The long-term evidence is that homosexuality and gender confusion arise out of dysfunction, including experiences like child sexual abuse, poor relationships with parents (especially the same sex parent), and peer difficulties. An introspective personality, and the availability of pornography may then turn a slight attraction into obsessive fantasies. It may influence the person with a shaky gender identity to fantasize about "becoming" the opposite sex (which can never actually happen).

The woman at the center of that court case was known simply as “Jane Roe.” She later became known by her real name, Norma McCorvey, and worked to get Roe v. Wade overturned as a pro-life activist. Well, Norma McCorvey is back in the news once again, three years after her death.

Reportedly, the documentary features McCorvey’s “deathbed confession”—supposedly she wasn’t really a pro-life activist. It’s claimed she was paid to play the part by pro-life groups. Headlines in newspapers throughout the US and around the world are running with the story, publishing headlines such as “Anti-abortion rights movement paid 'Jane Roe' thousands to switch sides, documentary reveals” and “Jane Roe’s deathbed confession exposes the immorality of the Christian right.” Other articles are claiming the “bombshell” revelation is nothing more than a “smear campaign” and McCorvey truly was pro-life. However, I’m sure we’ve all learned not to trust the media these days! We know how they distort, lie about, and misrepresent AiG over and over again.
